I need comments on my cat rough

I'm studying in animation and for one of my classes I have to create a character, so I chose to make a cat. I'd need comments about it and how to improve it (this one is only a rough so I can modify it ^^)

don't know about that, I don't remember that one...

Come on, there must be more negative comments somewhere... I need it reviewed and the best way to improve is to get people who know a thing or two about drawing analyze it ^^

yea your right the body does look like from pokemon is it drawn from Mew?? well if it isn't it is pretty well made for just a rough you should color it with adobe or something... it looks very well made and the fish looks like... a ...fish...yea...

LOL, and no I didn't use the body of any pokemon as a model, this was made totally out of inspiration while in class XD. (I never got addicted to pokemon... So I don't even know the one you guys are talking about)

Im thinkin you might do well to add in the mouth or maybe some eyebrows cause right now it looks a bit like n alien kitty. hmmm....and about the body I would say it's good over all, but maybe the difference in widths of the body parts may be a bit extreme, but I know for cartoony things you do that. Thats just what I saw being a graphic design major I look for different things in a piece. speaking of which I do like the perspective of it though, the slightly from below and skewed vantage point. coolness, and post your finished animation as well if you make one.

well we do have a few animations were doing but the main one will be a solo project that takes a year to make (about 2 minutes long). That last one would be like impossible to post... but if i manage to get back one of my old ones and put it on ctp ill try posting it. For the month and err... eyebrows... thats for the cartoon part as well, the mouth appears out of nowhere when it opens it XD

too bad i failed the perspective class by like 5%... i suck at it lol

not bad, if it was me, i wouldnt do the paws like that, but everyone is unique, and everyone has there own style of art, so yea not bad, i would like to see it in color too XD

well yeah, if you notice the way you drew the front paws. It looks like they are closer and as you go up the arms it should get further away. But it doesnt do that because the cats head is so big, thats why it looks a bit odd to me. But I think thats a perspective rule you can break in cartooning

well from a cartoon point of view perspective is kinda twisted since some parts are way bigger than they should be ans arms/legs can be very long (bugs bunny anyone?), as for color... i'm still trying for that but for now i suck at it. I'll have numeric colouring classes next year though ^^
