both movies are really good. takes a few minutes to get used to hearing english rather than japanese audio though. bloodlust is drawn much more detailed but both stories are interesting.

how to know...
can any 1 please tell the names of both of those 2 .. and a little bit of synopsis of the movie..

(well the 1 which i saw had this story - 1 gal is kidnapped by a vampirewho claims to love her, D is called to hunt the vampire and get the gal, now there is another set of V hunters competing against him, but things turn , old histories, and hunting the kidnapper. )

I remember VHD, good stuff. it's better to see the original before bloodlust, because stepping down to the original is just painful.

The first movie isn't as good as bloodlust but having been made in the 80's its understandable. Basically it a vampire wants to take a mistress against her will and make her into a vampire queen. D is traveling the road and the woman asks for his help. THere are many more monsters in this movie but no fighting scenes come close to the calliber of bloodlust. however for those d fans out there i would recomend trying to see it it agains alludes to D's clouded past and who his father is/might be

i have not hear5d that there was going to be a third movie i habe the first two movies. i wonder what is his next task to tackle

The first movie was ok to me...but the 2nd one is really great.
Even though I can't find a subbed one...the english Dubbing is one impressive work.

The first has "ecchi" scenes while the 2nd focuses on great animeation actions.

both movies is great and bloodlust has a good story but when is D going to go all out with his abilities so far he stops him self and gains control before realizing his true powers

VHD is the first anime movie i saw....and that was a looong time ago, like 13 years ago =p. So i can tell u when i saw the first one the animation was so good at that time, all i saw at the moment was disney so u can guess my face when i saw that vampire hunter killin everything in his road. VHD2 of course is another great anime and in 10 years maybe someone will think VHD2 is a normal animation but for us now its next to one of the best of the moment.

I hope one day the novels get into manga or anime, from what i know theres like 5 books of VHD
