actually I don't even use the basics myself. i only drew the guide lines as an example [ahala].
[ahala] you need to show us more of your workds^^
do those manga books actually work? I never read one because the covers were sooo good, but when I looked through them they looked...bleh
but what amazed me was that unlike other people when they first start drawing, you drew in a different perspective rather than jsut plain front view(like what i just showed you)
That, I believe is a good start and key to a good progress. _________________ The hardest person to forgive is yourself~ |

I think your drawing looks nice- really! I actually am glad to see different styles and such and yours is very different from typical anime and its good to see. I think you would do great illustrating for children's books and stuff o.O Manga-style novels!!! xDDD _________________ Pepsi tastes like ASS. Coke is just a little taste of Heaven.

o_O;; I find How to Draw Manga books are useless. Besides maybe toning styles, and perspectives on backgrounds.
If you say you suck at something, then do something about it. Don't make excuses like 'yea i know the ____ is wrong, but its cuz i suck at drawing.' Fix it.
What you really should look at are the human anatomy type things. How they put down a guideline/skeleton before they do any other kind of detail. (guideline meaning what Takasan had showed you)
Try not to press so hard on your pencil when you draw. Light strokes are better. Uhm practice? _________________ [img:194:68:40fea01228]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v53/HTMLka0s/ajbanner.jpg[/img:40fea01228] |
