Back on topic....

As we'v just witnessed.....the internet is a great place to make friends from across the globe.......kinda like pen pals......
....its especialy a great place to come and relax.....and be both social and anti-social at the same time....

As far as romance goes on the internet.....MikaKitty proves that it aint impossible or doomed.......but Id still warn against it......coz you just wont know what your getting yourself into~

Hey, I can't believe I missed this thread!

Well, as some of you might know I'm really timid when it comes to talking to girls in person. I choke up in middle sentence and I get really nervous. Why is it that i'm cursed in such a way? Well, it's my inner geek and i'm afraid to talk to girls! Well afraid to talk to girls that I meet for the first time.

Anyways, I've recently met a really bright, outgoing girl on the internet from an mmorpg. At first I was thinking, "this has got to by a guy trying to scam me out of some money," but later we started talking more and more about our personal lives and things began to change. How was I able to communicate so fluently with this girl?

We later began trading pictures of ourselves, (which kids, is a bad thing to do because you never know who is on the other end! protect your identity). She was beautiful and she was my age. The problem? Well she lived in Oregon and I live in California, which isn't that big of a deal.

Afterwards we traded phone numbers and we began talking hours on end on the phone. I began to think that dating people on the internet is stupid, I mean what's the point if you can't even have physical relations? Over time I began to not to care about physical relations. I mean anyone can hug, anyone can kiss, anyone can do the physical things, but not everyone can communicate.

I started to see that online relationships take trust, more trust then it does if you are going out with someone you are around. Online, you are to talk to them freely without being embarrased and they cannot see if your face is flustered when you talk.

I know it seems like the most outrageous things you might have heard, but I find it perfectly fine to have an online relationship and I encourage you to do so.

I'll be riding the train to Oregon this December to meet her. Wish me luck guys. Wink

I already had a 'virtual' relation before... he didn't live really far away, but somewhat we never met... we talked hours on the phone too, but in the end, it didn't work out =/... we're still friends though, kinda haha ^^' i mostly yell on him for his stupidity... meh, anyway...

i don't really care about how a person look. As long as he's beautiful in the inside... I think it's more important than his look...
