well i have this pic for my avatar i want to upload but eventhough it's 100 x 100, the size of it is 39kb, any suggestions on how to make the disk size smaller?
(adobe seems to only go down to 12kb for it, ill try again tomro since i dont have the program at home) _________________ manga? anime?? thats for losers

btw i really recommend Ubel Blatt, awesome manga (the theme is old but the story is good, also has ecchi content)
and in terms of anime you're really missing out if you haven't seen Xam'd

I don't see amy problem with the 39KB size. It is OK to use that avatar, but if you want to reduce them further, maybe you want to change the picture format to JPG. _________________ Innocent Tranquility

Please be aware that doing this sometimes reduces the quality of the image too. If you have an animated gif I think there is no choice but to leave it as it is. _________________

u say 39kb is ok but it says no bigger than 6kb in "Profile" for the avatar

Don't worry about using one that is 39kb. There are avatars of more than 6kb in the forums and they work just fine. Don't worry about that. Do, however, make sure that your avatar IS 100 pixels wide, otherwise it will be automatically re-sized and look deformed. Also make sure that it isn't over 150 px high, although the recomended height is 100px. _________________
