Anime that was better than manga.

For manga readers and anime watchers, we know that manga is usually better than anime. However, there are always exceptions.

Would you guys please tell me what anime you saw that is better than the manga version?

For now, I have only one:

do you mean story wise or what? i can't really say, but i think maybe neon genesis is better than the manga

IMO, elfen lied anime was much better than the manga.

i watched the anime first, and figured that the mangas gotta be more gruesome.
when i found a copy of it, i was like O.o

the manga was basic gruesome. not like anime/gantz gruesome.
instead of using her inviso-arms to rip kisaragi's head off, she used her own hands. and it was, very crappily drawn too.

dont take my word for it, read it, watch it and compare.

Escaflowne. The anime for Escaflowne is better then the manga. Well, I guess I cant say that, seeing as I didnt read it, but can you blame me? First glance and i put it down like that. It was also rated to be crappy (the Manga). Sides, the chracters dont look alike in the manga and anime. they are drawn totally different. -.- So the point---> Vision of Escaflowne Anime version, is better then the Manga version.

Another anime that is better than the manga would be school rumble. Not that the manga is bad (it isn't), but it just works a whole lot better in Anime form. I'm probably biased because I saw the anime before reading the manga, but I still think it is better. Like all adaptations some things are cut out and others modified, but to get laughs School Rumble anime is, in my opinion, unmached by its manga.

I think maybe trigun would be better but I really cant tell I would need the series to continue. But yeah personally I love the anime series so much but then again Trigun is also a really good manga... also the anime really sticks to the first books... but after that I dunno I dont think they have unlimited added to the series...
