10053 error

I don't know if you can help me since this is an irc problem but:

This basically is a conncection problem that drops irc connections spontaneously. I can't connect for more than 10 seconds now

Things I tried:

Disabling Firewall
Uninstalling any antivirus program
using different ports
connecting directly to the server
using older versions of irc

Any suggestion is appreciated

Try running an irc client while your Windows is in safe mode. If it works fine, then there is something running in the background when your are in the normal Windows mode.

i know that alot of the IRC servers are really crappy

i'm not saying its a sure thing, but it might not even be on your side


when i'm at home, because of my ISP, my IRC connection drops atleast once an hour

then throw in the server splits, and just crapping out



just a posibility, nothing you can do about it, but it is possible
