Shinigami no Ballad Synopsis & Reviews
Has anyone watched the first epd?
From my impression, this series is like Jigoku Shoujo, which the order of watching the epds doesnt matter since each epd is concentrated in differnt ppl.
The winged cat which named Daniel i believe is cool |

I also found uncanny resemblance to Jigoku Shoujo anime. Every episode, different stories of people. But this one didn't have as much impact as Jigoku Shoujo did with its first episode. _________________ [IMG:258:200]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/ypark/sigs/3fsn.png[/img] |

I saw the first ep. and was wondering if Momo was going to be hanging with that first kid or if she was going to be moving on to others.
I think comparing Shinigami No Ballad with Jingoku Shoujo might not work too well. While Jigoku Shoujo is more of a horror type show the first episode of Shinigamo No Ballad seems like it will be more of a touchy feely type of show. In other words instead of being about bloody vengence at least the first episode is about dealing with the greif of losing a loved one.
It's not at all scary and in fact I found the first episode rather touching. I'm going to keep an eye on this one for a bit. |

In terms of a similar structure to a storyline, I would say SnB is a little similar to Jigoku Shoujo, in that there isn't really much attachment to a certain character from one or two episodes.
The first episode was touching, yes, and I'm still reminded by the fact that Momo wasn't really shown in focus here. Maybe that's where the similarities lie as well.
I just might follow this series too...Something mellow is definitely nice for a change. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97] |

Okay just saw the second ep and definately this is a rather atypical series about death.
There are a lot of cultures that teach that death is not nessasarily a bad thing, that's it part of the cycle of life, and if anything, death is a lot harder on the loved ones left behind then it is on the deceased. As a shinigami Momo is definatly not some kick ass, scary entity. Instead Momo is the comforting arms of Death.
This is getting to be a pretty facinating series not only for the unique twist on the subject matter but the stories are also well doneand the charater of Momo is sweet and touching.
The only thing bad about getting in on the beginning of the fansub release of this anime is the fact I have to wait for the next release. |

It woudlnt hurt if Momo was a sadistic evil satanic grim reaper who killed everyone and everything that moved. _________________
