Has anyone ever seen the movie 'Versus?' If not, it's about this guy (no one in the entire movie has a name!) who escapes from prison and wanders into the Forest of Resurrection. He's chased by these yakuza type guys and are all evetually killed by this immortal type guy. In the end, they have a swordfight and 99 years later, the roles reverse. And did I mention that the main character has to protect this stupid girl the whole time, who does play her part in the movie. But this movie is awesome!

I've seen Ultimate Versus, wich has lots of extra footage but that counts too, so yes i've seen it and i liked it. If you like undead yakuza fighting each other for 2 hours this is the movie for you.
However, i feel i should warn you that there is no actual plot.

Other movies by Kitamura (director) are similar but none of them (ok, Azumi, maybe) reach the amount of mayhem this has.

I did get quite confused on it at first. One of my friends had it and when we were watching it his mom started playing the piano! I wanted to smack her and tell her to quit.

i watched it, its pretty cool in some bits, annoying at how he always has to protect that girl but overall the action was good imo.

No. Never heard of it. Maybe won't watch it. Sounds like some action movie with not much story. I'll find the trailer first then decide to watch or not to watch.

Anyway, what is the title "Versus" or "Ultimate Versus"? Link to a torrent would be hot, as I checked around and got too many movies that were not it.

I thought it was a great movie. It is pretty much all style though. True there's not much story, but thats the point of the movie. I also though Kitamura's Godzilla:Final Wars was good too. It's the ultimate Godzilla fan movie. I was especially satisfying seeing Godzilla take out that stupid US CG Godzilla. I generally like movies with stories or a point to them, but I thought Versus was fun. It didn't require you to think.

Very true. Kitamura definatly made the movie with no plot behind it. This is the first Kitamura film I've seen, though. If someone could tell me some others ones he's made then that would be very beneficial to my health. Thank you. Have a nice day.
