WMI program

Just recently, my friend was saying that this program is a spyware. When i checked out Microsoft website, it says that it stands for Windows Management Instrument. I am currently using Zone Alarm and i can block its access to the net. Any info on this? Or am i just over curious ?

this is the properties of it.

Should be safe if it's in the wbem folder but just to make sure it isn't a worm, you may want to check this link :

If you are not a system admin, i don't think you need to use the service so you can safely block it from accessing the network or Internet. To know what processes are running on your computer, i recommend Autoruns.
