And on your point about games training future soldiers, the game doesn't improve their aim, but it improves their reflexes and it makes it easier for them to handle the guilt of killing someone.

You're right, there's no way a video game can improve aim since guns have a little kick to them. I think it's more to get soldiers used to the environment. The reason that there were so many soldiers available for the Vietnam War was because of all the WWII movies Hollywood was pumping out... movies that glamourized war. Kids saw all the action and excitement, but obviously the crappy aspects of being in a foreign country living in sub-par conditions were ignored.

That story you mentioned about that kid reminded me of something. When I worked for the Boston Police Department, we went to house to ask some teens about some cars that had been vandalized. While waiting to talk to them, a young boy, maybe 6 or 7 years old came up to us and told us that he was playing GTA. We asked him if he liked driving the cars and he said his favorite part was "killing hookers." So much for MSRB ratings... worthless if parents don't read them.

Yeah, when I bought the game I saw a mom buying it for her two sons, they looked like they were 6 and 8, is that good parenting? I'm sure she can't watch them all the time. I don't like the idea that kids buy thoose kind of games before they can tell reality and games appart and they are easily manipulated at that age too, it can't be good for them.

In a state of rage i could prolli kill someone but if i was doing it calmly like holding a gun to someones head, i wouldnt do it, all depends on how i am felling at the time and if i knew the person, if it was nobody i reckon would probably beat the person to death.

I have a cousin that's 7 years old, and he has played GTA: San Andreas, I was watching him makng sure he didn't do anything his mother wouldn't like, and he's sort of a car fanatic and wanted to drive all the cars in the game. But everytime he accidently hit someone with the car, he got a little upset and didn't want to play more, ofcourse he came back later to play some more but i know he knew what he did.

awww hehe thats really cute lol thats a good kid.

I think i heard about a study that claimed violent games encouraged aggressive and competitive behaviour which spills out from the game to real life. i believe there is some merit to this.
one thing that attracts people to video games is instant gratification. but then again with credit cards, mobile phones, lap tops and broadband internet video games certainly isnt the only thing making us more impatient blah blah blah etc.

in the way of military training, video games would aid soldiers learning how to behave in the field as individuals and as part of a team. a virtual environment helps them remember drills, formations, procedures. a simulated scenario tests an officers ability to assess a problem and coordinate his/her troops and equipment to solve it. of course it could never be 100% true to real life.

i think i could kill a person if i was put in the wrong place, wrong time. i think most people could given certain circumstances
but if it was a matter of walking up to a stranger and pulling the trigger then no, i could never.
i would also never join the armed forces. i could never accept the culture of the military and of course the bottom line notion that my purpose would be to kill somebody, or help somebody else kill somebody.
funnily enough, in no military manual will you find the word kill. there is actually a former soldier (Marine i think) turned speaker who runs around the US Army helping soldiers to reconcile themselves with their true purpose as killers for the state. i find that scary. the seminar program attempts to ward off post traumatic stress by preparing soldiers as best a possible for going into battle.

I could never do something like that. I am very emotional and I would end up being killed by them because I would think about how it would effect everyone around me if I did. Plus his family would be devastated, and my family would never ever talk to me again, plus I dont know how my girlfriend would react. No I could never do this to anyone.

i'm pretty sure no one can actually attempt to stab something in someone without experience. unless the person totally loses himself or herself.

On the side note, with that much money just go hire an assassin. lol

you are the assassin if you get that money from kiling someone, and i don't need training to know how to kill someone with a knife, you aim for the leg artery or the lungs

To kill a person eh?

Actually, I really want to try to KILL a person if I can but since there's no "Target" to test it out, I just let it go.
I would prefert to kill without being seen or heard. From a distance is more of my preference...a Sniper to be precise. As for on-foot, either "walk-in, follow him, shoot in the head, get out".

as for money...if you accept it, you're either be known as a Hitman or a Mercenary.

Sure I always had an urge to kill someone that I truely hate.

But it's just a fleeting moment when I'm in a blind rage.

I dont think I have the gutz to kill anyone. It's too horrible for me. Sad

Man, but I dont know what I would do if suddenly my life was like Battle Royale!! Shocked If it ever came down to that then it has to be everyman for himself, cause everyone would be after everyone's head. Shocked My gosh, such a horrible thought... I would never be the same if I ever survived battle royale. Crying or Very sad
