Well, as the topic says, I'm looking for a PC, just done doing taxes so I'm close to being broke. My budget is around $400.
In today's paper in the Sunday Oregonian, I found a $299.97 desktop at Office Depot :
Desktop Computer Package with AMD Sempron
Processor 3300+ with 17" CRT and color printer
- 256 MB memory
-100 G harddrive
-Play DVDs/CDs & burn CDs via the DVD-ROM/CD-RW drive
-8 in 1 Digital Media Manager
-16" viewable area
Tower - monitor D3315 / Printer iP1600
I live in the Portland area here in Oregon, and I appriciate a close store near by.

Wow!!! That is incredibly cheap for a Sempron 3300+ system. Furthermore, it comes with a 17" LCD, which is another good investment. If you can grab that, then it is quite a good low-end system =) _________________ Innocent Tranquility

Okay, so I guess this is good and I'll buy it afterschool tomorrow.
I'm just wondering if this is a Windows PC and if it runs MSN and can read EXE files since I have no clue about computers since I just work as a security guard at Intel.

And about your specs, are you sure it is that cheap, Lucifer? In here, just to get basic Socket 939 Athlon64 3500+, you need at least US$300, inclusive of a normal PCI-E graphics card..... And that does not include CRT monitor
My PC that I created from the same spec with 1GB RAM and Radeon X1600Pro, I bought it for S$1,500 (~US$900). And that does not include monitor and speaker -_- _________________ Innocent Tranquility
