Rich anime characters

You ever notice that in EVERY series, there is ALWAYS a very rich character that lives in a huge mansion?
I'm gonna start listing them here. If you want to continue the listing, ctrl+F search first to see if it's already listed.
Oh and forget listing characters from Gankutsuoh... they're all filthy filthy rich. and listing some kind of royalty characters would be pointless too.

I don't remember if she was swimming in gold and jewels, but Sylia Stingray from Bubblegum Crisis 2040 had a litttle extra spending cash.

One of the three main girls from Chance Pop Sessions was loaded too, but it's been so long since I've seen it that I'd never be able to tell you here name.

Kuriko Kuzetsubaka from Maburaho... Rin came from an affluent family too, don't remember if they were rich or not

Hamino's step-family in Pretear was Loaded with a capital $$$

Not every series has a rich character, but a lot of animes do lol. Most of the time its just an easy way to have a character for people to hate, the rich bratty person or a person that people can want to be like(who wouldnt like to have a crap load of money).

So to add to the list Aoi Sakuraba and Miyuki Mayu from Ai Yori Aoshi were rich and Roger Smith from Big O was rich wasnt he?

Well, the anime somehow has to have something that's realistic, like the poors and the riches in the real world.

oh oh!! like in chobits....that rich guy....whose name i can't recall at the current time. but yea him !! ok let me think of animes that don't have a rich person in it.....chrono crusade....nopes Setella is rich there....um GW?..nope Relena is rich......wolf's rain?...nopes nobles are rich.......oh i know i know Fafner!! no one is rich in fafner...at least i don't think so.

tenjou tenge?.....umm i don't think ppl are too wealthy in that one. loveless? i don't think anyone is rich in that one but i haven't finished the series.

in conlusion: many anime series do have rich ppl, but that's wat makes it realistic. not everyone is in the same class or financial status. and even though many anime series do have rich ppl in them, not all animes have this.

Are there that many kids who are rich enough to develop private military weapons? No way, I don't know anybody among my friends who live in huge mansion and throws money around. But in anime the main character almost always have a friend that's filthy rich. I don't see that as realistic, it's just one of the anime cliches.

What about Tenchi? I dont think there anyone rich on there aside Sasami and Ayeka but its jus cause theyre royalty

silver> i'm just saying that not everyone is in the same financial class. most anime characters seem to be in the middle class.....but there are also others that are above the middle class as well...and that's wat makes it realistic.

i mean take bulma...she's rich...y? cuz her dad owns a big company/business...it's only logical. every person lives diff. so it's only logical that some ppl have more money than others.....it's what makes the world...or our economy go round.

A thing that bothers me about anime character's wealth or poorness.

IT'S EXTREME!

If one character is very rich, the other is very poor. One has Rolls-Royce, while the other is on his/her sandals thats all holed and flat.

It's like a standard setup of a typical anime series to have one conviniently very rich friend the main character depends on to go to private beaches, helicopter rides, etc. I am not doubting the existence of rich people.
I mean how many of us have a very rich friend who owns multinational corporation?

ahahahaha.....u know wat's funny silver?....i actually do know a person who owns a multinational corporation.l.ol.

yea i know what u mean though...it's highly unrealistic that in almost every anime series the main character has a friend who has loads of cash and busts his/her friend's a** out of trouble when necessary.

but even though there's many rich ppl in anime series, that doesn't mean that they wave their loads of cash around....or use their money to take their best friend/ the main character to his or her private island.

in dbz....bulma doesn't really use her money to get goku out of tight situations...in fact the series really doesn't go out of its way to point out that she's rich.

in GW....relena is rich as hell...but u never see her using her money to really help the gundam pilots. the only way she's ever able to help the "good" side is with her status and independent voice of peace. u really don't see her, unrealistically, buying a theme park, resting in her over-sized manision with 2 pools and 5 tennis courts, or going shopping constantly, buying everything in sight.

point is..there's a lot of unrealistic happenings when it comes to wealth in certain anime series. but in several other anime series having so much wealth isn't unrealisitic ...or it isn't bothersome or considered a distraction within the series.
