It's coming very soon, can't wait to see if it will (and if so, how closely) follow the manga.

October doesn't strike me as 'very soon'. Say it again in 6 months' time, and I'll agree.
Since the first season followed the manga very closely, I have no reason to believe that the second one willl do otherwise. _________________

...I'll attempt to restrain myself and merely enquire politely as to why the sheer awesomeness of Genshiken has eluded you so. ¬_¬ _________________

I concur I concur. How the awesome totally eluded him is beyond my comprehension. Genshiken is one of my all time favorites. The only explanation I can think of is that willxzero watched it without knowing the context of some of the jokes (but a lot of the jokes should still have hit home -_-).

I must admit, I didn't really enjoy the series as many others did but it was interesting as it gave me an general understanding of the so called "otaku's" of this modern age...

forget Genshiken 2, I want more Kujibiki
well, if season 2 has more Ohno and actually incorporates the internet into it's fandom, then maybe it could turn out better _________________

If it follows the mangas as closely as the first season did, then we're going to get more Ohno pretty early on... >_>
And god, not Kujibiki...having actually watched the first episode in full, it makes me want to cry. It's fine as an invented anime for them to flail over, but for the love of all that is sacred, I hope that they don't subject us to it any further than necessary. _________________

Good to see they are doing a second season (first season was damn hilarious! Thank God for my anime club). My only question is when is it coming out?

Yeah, the first episode left me with that "wtf?" feeling, but if you watch the other two bonus episodes, it gets much much better. _________________

I watched the other two....god, I'm just glady it wasn't brought in as a full series. The second season of Genshiken, however, I am looking forward to quite bit if only because of the curiosity to see if Sasahara will live up to his new position. _________________ [img:450:200:d0a28f8b61]http://www.anime-source.com/upload/uploadFiles/9979.jpg[/img:d0a28f8b61]
