F.E.A.R - First Encounter Assault Recon

I was wondering whether anyone has heard of or played this game before. After playing it for the first time, I must admit that it is somewhat scary, before playing, make sure you're alone in the dark cause it create such a nice atmosphere. Also the Multiplayer is awesome, its all tactics and co-operation (unless you are playing Deathmatch), the Slowmo option is still available and there is no sniper rifles at all, the only thing that can consider to be a sniper is the Type 7 Particle Weapon which is the cheapest weapon you can ever use. For those who don't have it, get it before its too late.

played and finished the game already, i prefer this game vs. Doom3. The scare tactics used in the game is somewhat similar to Silent Hill, specially when you get to remember stuff then see all those kind of visions.

really good game in terms of gameplay, but can be quite repetitive, but the AI is really nice, i just wished that they added more of those stealthy ninja enemies.

All I can say is that the AIs for this game is extremely smart, they move in SWAT formation and when they throw a grenade at you, they don't wait, they will storm you. Also you get to use martial art moves like the bicycle kick, siccor kick and flying kick. Also the answer the rating thing, I give it 9.5/10 because the scary parts are useless once you finish it, plus the AIs were still easy to manipulate. The Multiplayer I say it is 10/10 because it is so much better than CS, it is definitely a must have game.

Thankfully my beast of a machine can run it at full specs, and its gorgeous. They even have TPS Reports! (For those Office Space lovers out there).

One of the best games I've played in a long time, adrenaline fuelled action, horrifying terror and a gripping story-line. I actually stayed up all night just to finish it.

MAN! i heard so much great stuff about this game like in game reviews/tvshow revies and suchs, i've always wanted to try it but , sadly my comp really really sucks.It looks like a survival horror with lots of action

more like action horror, the combat sequences are really good.
my ol AXP 2500,1GB ram and ol 6600GT could at least do medium-high settings with good framerate.

I played that game to reignite my flame for FPS. It has been a while since I last played FPS games. The last game that I played was UT2K3 4 years back. After that, I got my own PC and got a good specs too, so I got the game really soon after I purchased my PC.

Pretty much an interesting game and pretty good mechanics too. The environment is so incredibly scary that it may really scare the hell out of you. At one time, it is eerily silent and the next moment, some memories pop out and scare the hell out of you. There are also certain events that you can see some ghosts flying around while you are in a mission.

While the game grips you tightly with their engrossingly good game mechanics and awesome gruesome environment, it comes with tons of weapons that you may not imagine you will be using. And also with 3 weapons that you can only bring, there will be some part of the game when you have to discard some weapon to take some better ones, but of course, there are lots of factors to consider when you discard the weapons such as firepower, movement penalty, reload time, etc.

But the story is just plain sucks, IMO. The storyline does not really go anywhere and it is really plain bad. There are unpredictable twists, but unfortunately, not gripping enough to be called decent.

But other than the storyline, the overall enjoyment is definitely high. When I play this game for the first time, I nearly can't sleep due to the eery silence in my room ^^;
