I am using a program called Multiplicity by Stardock and i need to let my firewall and network allow file Multipl.exe and Multipl32.exe, also open port 30564. I dont know exactly how to allow those files. i tried posting in the stardock forums but got no answer, hoping somebody knows how to help me here. Thx

OK, now you are being extremely vague here. Please answer these few question before I answer your question:

1. Did you use a router? Or your computer is directly connected to the modem/line?

2. Is your PC protected with any firewall?

3. Please post your Operating System.

1. Have you tried port-forwarding the port to the application? Try that and see whether it works

2. Try turning off your firewall for both router and XP.

3. Home Edition..... Which SP is it updated to?

1. Did you port-forward on your XP or router port-forwarding?

2. I never use Netgear before so I have no idea how the menu is different from Linksys. Maybe you can refer to your router manual for more information and details on where to find you router's firewall setting.

3. Try to go HERE and download the third party patch there. After that, run the application and try to increase the amount of outgoing connection to 50.

Hope that helps.

well thx for everything jsy3k i got the pogram to connect to my other comp. The problem was the ip address when i port foward on my router, i put 192.168.0.1 when it was suppose to be 0.2 and that seems to change everything. Well now the problem is i cant get control of the other comp( even though it says its already connected) but im in the proccess of getting it worked out at another forum. thx
