whats so good about it? its starting to become annoying

Hmm...Maple Story can be easily refered as crap to some people, i am one of them. Pointless lvling, lack of new attacks(1 or 2 attacks in 40 lvls wtf), boring quests, crap party system, and much more. Not much positive sides...but it is free afterall.

Maple Story, though free, is still not worth it. Leveling is a B and quests are usually not worth it. It really lacks....what's the word..."fun"?

The game is based on making friends... otherwise you'll always be bored playing this game =/

Maple Story is more like a 2D version of Runescape. Basically even if you lvl up to 100, whoop-dee-doo, you managed to waste a lot of hours of your life playing that game.

Faithz does have a point. Without friends then... man.. you're one lonely person.

Yes yes, ksing mages are quite annoying. With a hint of those lvl 70+ show offs.

it gets boring after a while but i find that i enjoy it every once and a while, the non wide range of skills make it easier for me to find which ones i like

my cousins are addicted to this....luckily when i come over i supply them with anime and they get off right away. i think it's mindless how you do repetitive actions to 'earn points' and spend them....gah get a job, spend the real dough and help me(economist) have some research samples to base our data off of.

maple story...........DONT PLAY THIS GAME WARNING, i HATED THIS GAME AT frist but my bro showed me again........... IM TOO ADDICTED I HATE IT IVE SPENT ONE MONTH LVLING UP TO LVL 49!!!!!! AHH D: EVIL GAME!!!! but in other words, lvling in maple story is the hardest, its like 10+ hours to lvl once in around the 35+ zone and..... quest really suck balls....... party... sucks... its based on making friends = =; all the ppl i met is getting boring now.

ahh, this game, arg, you just cant like it, it may be a good waste of time, but it adds up to this, YOU JUST WASTED PRECIOUS MOMENTS OF YOUR LIFE THAT YOU WILL NEVER GET BACK!!!!

and the skill set, arg, it's increadbly small, like 5-9 skills per job, and the party system aint all that good, and mages WILL KS you, but they also will help you, in a 1 out of 100000000 chance though!

so overall, a cheap rip off of Runscape! Evil or Very Mad

I don't see Maple Story as a cheap rip off of Runescape at all. If you did in fact look at Maple as a copy of Runescape, then you would have to consider all of the MMORPGs that are being released now copies of Runescape. Runescape had different aspects of game play. For instance, in Runescape you could collect minerals by mining and you could build fires and cook fish. Runescape showed a more in-depth form of game play.

This is opposed to Maple's gameplay, which is basically the most basic of all MMORPG gamplay: level and quest. Of course, Maple is more than that when you start to play. You see that people make friends, join guilds, party-quest, and much more. Not only is Maple a 2D game (opposed to Runescapes' 3D format), Maple is more appealing to people who enjoy the anime sort of motif.

Sure, it does get a bit tricky to level once you get a little bit past lvl 35, but there are things that suppliment this dilemma. Party questing in Ludi is an easy way to gain instant exp and not to mention that the bonus stage drops are pretty decent (heart earrings, skull earrings, naps, and more).

As for ksing mages, mages aren't the best at ksing. Sure, they do do a lot of damage (especially ice mages at fireboars, and fire mages at ossy), but sins are a lot faster in the lvl 35-50 range. KSing has been a major problem in all MMORPGs and Maple is able to apply somewhat of a justice system by using the FAME method. Of course, this is only effective to some extent.

I guess something that makes this game pretty fun is Cash Shop. I enjoyed Cash Shop when it first came out, but sadly I didn't continue to purchase NX Cash because I sought after other material things.
