my recently brought seagate hdd sata cannot be detected and i haev 2 fren of mine which is expert in computer stuff also cannot detect what the problem..........
the 2nd person who checked my computer also cannot find out what the problem until he even called up his another fren to find out what the problem...........
can anyone tell me what the real problem here? _________________

Check your physical connection of the SATA drive and also the power supply. Make sure that they are connected properly.
Also in your BIOS setting, make sure that you enable SATA. After that, your drive should be detected by your OS. _________________ Innocent Tranquility

Jim, i thought yuun have already told you the story? about the bios setting cannot set as my hdd cannot be detected at all...................
everything that was involved is already checked over and over couple of time...........
when come to set the raid bios, the serial ch0 and serial ch1 cannot be detected? it say this????? _________________

Try installing (or re-installing) your RAID controller. Also, is this your primary drive? If so, some drives require you to install the RAID controller during the OS install. Hope this helps.
