literally, anime, cartoon, caricatura refers to the same thing.
but the concept about we are talking when we use one of this words is very different.
for that reason cartoon and anime hasn't the same meaning. |
I'm in agreement. Animation is much much more than what cartoons are. Cartoons are used for entertainment as is animation, however, the quality of animation is much higher. There are also themes and storylines in animation which give the anime more meaning than what you find in cartoons. |

ofcourse I could be wrong...but if memory serves
anime is animation in japanese
and animation and cartoon do have a difference
this has more to do with the direct meaning of the word anime then anything else...
but if ppl are classifying based on region then it's stupid |

U cant really say that since there is some anime lovers that cant afford to
buy anime from Japan and they have to download it off the computer. At
least im not one of those ppl and i get my anime from anywhere.

But they not the orginal owner so its not really theirs to begin with.I think the
money they get from the consumer goes back to the orignal owner. But im
not totally sure of that. _________________ [IMG:400:100:a70745c8b4]http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/3997/fullmoonsig0qq.jpg[/img:a70745c8b4]

| well..its since the Japanese are willing to sell the anime for $ perhaps around 150k per naruto episode. So i guess made enough and decided to sell it. but at one point it would be reasonable to have the consumer's money returned to the maker, but i think Americans have some restrictions on foreign shows broadcasting on USA TVs. So the maker sold it after its viewed in Japan. |

I'm not 100% sure of this, but I'm pretty sure it goes like this... American companies who license titles pay a lump sum to the Japanese Producers to buy specific series. Then the American companies are free to do whatever they want with it, whether it be releasing it on DVD (setting the number of volumes and MSRP per disc), putting it on tv, streaming it on the internet, and/or merchandising toys, posters, and other products. All that money goes strictly to the American company. _________________

That could be right as well but im also not 100% sure,we have to ask the companies themself to be 100% sure of this.Maybe that the cartoon company bought it because since cartoon is also anime. _________________ [IMG:400:100:a70745c8b4]http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/3997/fullmoonsig0qq.jpg[/img:a70745c8b4]
