Yakitate basically -IS- one long parody of the typical shonen series: over the top events and making most really mundane tasks really interesting (like sports .-.)
After all, without the strange reactions, weird bread, funky characters, increasingly difficult challenges, it'd just be a show about bread.
(and they had to make a bread that would be sending you to heaven, so i guess plan B was to send you back in time. haha) _________________ I like your hat. |

The latest episode was...strange. But all's well that ends well after all, I suppose. THe concept of changing history was weird and confusing, but hey, this anime is meant to be fun, not all serious and get us analytical over every small detail. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97] |

I thought this was a great series, cant believe how they can make bread battles interesting. Did u notice how buff the bakers are? LOL I want to be a baker now... Ya what happened in EP 52 was the only thing unbelievable in the series. |

I dunno...I have a hard time believeing the walking pyramid, or that the King of Monaco is a man with a lion's head...
This is one of my favorites. It's always enjoyable & well done. Uhh...except for that 2nd ED, the Tencho disco song. Ugh. _________________ [img:450:56:3ff33a5be6]http://www.fiveofanatic.com/pics/cccp09a.jpg[/img:3ff33a5be6]

but you know disco ken-tencho is win/pawnage/love. Everyone does (or else) :D
I don't think we should be too shocked about changing history or a walking pyriamid or a lion's head whose expressions changes...
after all, I think it's going to get alot weirder ._.
Note: They're gonna air the "gohan" short that was part of manga early on! That the parallel story of a kid who wants to learn how to make "gohan" or "rice" to represent .. america i guess since he's blonde. I always wondered when they'd air that, and i saw a glimpse of the kids face in the preview.

Well, ep 53 continues the first-rate track record for this series. It is hard for me not to gush over it too much, it is so good. I don't often crack up out loud while watching any anime, but I almost always am with this one.
I haven't read the manga at all yet, but I need to start. How much/which parts of the anime to this point has been filler?

No, no, I'm not shocked at all. I was just commenting on reading how ep 52 had the only unbelievable stuff to happen so far. _________________ [img:450:56:3ff33a5be6]http://www.fiveofanatic.com/pics/cccp09a.jpg[/img:3ff33a5be6]

| idjota, Give Yakitate Japan a try. It seems stupid but then once you watch it, you'll find it quite enjoyable to watch! |
