Yakitate!!! Japan

Yakitate basically -IS- one long parody of the typical shonen series: over the top events and making most really mundane tasks really interesting (like sports .-.)

After all, without the strange reactions, weird bread, funky characters, increasingly difficult challenges, it'd just be a show about bread.

(and they had to make a bread that would be sending you to heaven, so i guess plan B was to send you back in time. haha)

The latest episode was...strange. But all's well that ends well after all, I suppose. THe concept of changing history was weird and confusing, but hey, this anime is meant to be fun, not all serious and get us analytical over every small detail. Very Happy

I thought this was a great series, cant believe how they can make bread battles interesting. Did u notice how buff the bakers are? LOL I want to be a baker now... Very Happy

Ya what happened in EP 52 was the only thing unbelievable in the series.

Well, ep 53 continues the first-rate track record for this series. It is hard for me not to gush over it too much, it is so good. I don't often crack up out loud while watching any anime, but I almost always am with this one.

I haven't read the manga at all yet, but I need to start. How much/which parts of the anime to this point has been filler?

idjota, Give Yakitate Japan a try. It seems stupid but then once you watch it, you'll find it quite enjoyable to watch!

The anime series has followed the manga series fairly well. it was a definate spoiler though reading it. I know now the next 10-15 episodes of the show now.

Hi guys i was just wondering if anyone knows if the Yakitate Japan Manga was/is release in an english version?

I mean don't get me wrong i really enjoy reading it from this site, but to me it's just one of those things that i would love to own (if u know what i mean)

either that or it seems that i'll have to start to learn how to read Japanese Razz
