I've seen both. To be honest, I preferred the manga far more than the anime. The anime is exactly like the manga, only censored.

I'd rather read the manga, mainly because it's nice to be able to go through the story at your own pace. But sometimes, its just nice to see how some scenes and reactions play out when animated, not to mention the theme songs and background music that go with it.

Episode 56 is out!!!! Dang that was a long time before the next release. What's up with Anime-empire. They take forever to release Capeta also. I get the feeling someone's going to rip me for complaining.

I guess the long waits might be because E7,as great as it is, isn't exactly a cult hit like Naruto (altho that show is shot to hell anyway) so the fansubbers have a slower workforce.. maybe? I'm not a fansubber, that's just my guess.

... If i knew japanese though, i could just watch the raws XD

i checked the tv tokyo's official site on Yakitate Japan, it seems that it has already ended at episode 69....? isn't it?

Yep yep, 69 is the last episode.

Sadly, the manga is released a little slow too (not very - I'm not complaining!). I've already caught up and read beyond D;. And since the anime is released so slow, I'm getting what happened in the manga confused with what has happened in the anime. D;

Whoa, 69 is the last episode? Does that match up with the manga?

Anyway, just finished watching ep. 61. If Kanmuri is too young to drink, then how is Kawachi old enough? I thought you had to be 20 to legally drink in Japan and Kawachi just participated in the 18 and under baking competition. This really isn't important, but it puzzled me.

interesting episode I would say, hopefully they will lose this time, so that everything would look more interesting (I am saying I want them to lose).

Wow. If 69 is the last episode, then they're going to have to start wrapping things up about now, especially since, in ep. 64 Pantasia lost the match, thus giving up 5 squares

I haven't read the manga or anything.. (really don't plan to either) But, anyway am I the only who is really tired of seeing Kawachi being treated as utterly and completely worthless? Kawachi has done some amazing things in the past and now he's being treated no better than a dog? WTF..

And since when was Azuma so intelligent? He's actually pretty arogant now, as well. Ok, I'm done venting.

Yeah. I too am tired of the manner in which Kawachi is treated. I would love to see some of his breakthrough breadmaking ideas. I guess we'll have to wait til the rest of the manga is scanlated...[/spoiler]
