Episode 14 was quite hilarious that noodle guy reminds me of a person (villain i think) from a old kung-fu film lol . The manga is funny aswell as the anime, they are both superb.

It's tough to compare the anime and manga, because just like movies here that are based on books, the books/manga will almost always be better than the movie/anime. I say that if you're a fan of the manga, then the anime will be an added bonus, but certainly nothing to compare the yakitate universe as a whole. But yes, overall manga is hilarious, and the anime is fun. I agree with tsukino's voice, not quite as sexy as i was hoping it'd be. Also she isn't drawn as sexy either.. but of course.. they're only drawings.. *sigh*

haha..yeah some of the characters do look weird sometimes
i find that some of the jokes/puns they have are hard to catch unless u know japanese and understand it
i kno that there are translations that pop up to explain the jokes but stilllll..i wish i knew japanese
is it like that too in the manga?

Heh. I love this series. All about bread and cooking. Lol. Not one actual bit of magic, though, which makes it all the funnier when they go off about their special techniques and powers and so on.

No saving the world. No magical shapechanging. Just a bunch of bakers and egos clashing. It's so anti-climatic that it creates something unique. Lol. I think it's definately the most inventive and non-formulaic show that I've seen in a while. I just... man... is he really that dense in the Manga?

Of course, the best part is, naturally, trying to predict how the characters will react to his creations. Heh.

I feel so left outta place... everyone compares anime to manga and i'm too lazy to even read the manga cuz they have the anime out already... Laughing

Other than that i think Yakitate is pretty good. Gave me some pretty good laughs, but then again my standards are low...
