I like this series because it's funny, doesn't matter that we don't see enough of Azuma making the bread, although the anime is focused on bread-making. If we see Azuma making each bread and observe how he makes it, it will turn into a cooking show Rolling Eyes

JAPAN .. JAPAN!!!

Kinda funny for me to hear Azuma keeps self-promoting his JAPAN.

"Jah Pan" .. in japanese it's for Japan but here in Malaysia we pronounce it as "Juh Pan (frying Pan's PAN)"

Love the 1st episode with the NAN bread .. HAHAHA .. me and my colleagues were laughing our heads when that chef tasted that NAN and had indian cartoons dancing everywhere.

Well... you can get to whet your appetite with this screenie of episode 9 Laughing

( Putting it as a link to avoid spoilers )

I do think the effect for this scene here is lessened compared to the manga due to the colour of the egg-white...

Is anyone here able to make bread and have you tried out any of Azuma's recipes?

they do, in fact normally its those powder ones.
if you worked at a bakery, normally we hand them out to hobos or soup kitchens. If its gone really stale we shred it up and leave bread crumbs for pigeons at some place. It really doesn't feel bad though like they said, I do it just for the hell of squishing and baking. also we are really 2-bit workers because when we don't have to bake we play games.

Isn't that illegal?

I've heard that all stores have to throw out leftover food in the trash and aren't allowed to give it away.

That sounds dumb. If the food's good there's no reason to waste it.

Anyway, saw ep 8... yawn.

But this episode #7 has a point .. it's an awful total waste to waste good food like that.

Yeah end of the day people would think it's just left overs ... and that bakeries don't want to sell leftover food.

But then reality kicks in .. how many bakeries around the world makes relaly really good bread that lasts for days without growing fungus or smells???

I dunno, that's what I did with the bread we made surpluses of and at the crack of the midnight I take all the day's bread and give it to hobos on the street.

We make bread for the soup kitchens.

even so it doesn't matter because I don't work there because the owners changed.

this was about 4 years ago also maybe this law didn't exist or something. maybe I did something really bad for good intensions never got busted for giving bread to hobos.
