I've got one but lost it...

Maybe you can go to your local mangaka tutoring branch and take up lessons.

if you have extra cash to burn on ^^

My best suggestion would be to learn to draw from real life sources and such first. Learn proper human proportions before you start to stylize. Even though anime characters have exaggerated features, they are still based on realistic proportions, ie. location of the eyes, size of the head, even oversized boobs, the way they're drawn, are still in relation to how they would be on a real body, even if they do look packed with silicone.

there are a few. just google it.
or you can just try copying straight from mangas and try imitating the drawings, and learn from that, and go to another series, and get a feel for how to draw

the danger in doing that is that people focus too much on style and not enough on the basics of the human form, which lead to crappy drawings of characters that don't look human.

da_MiGHTy_pLUm, I think you are right, thanks.

shankz, I will Smile - I'm just so lazy, I thought maybe I wouldn't have to do it Smile

I got some drawing talent, but I think I'll need to work real hard to be good. I am a lot better at writing music.

for me, the best time to practice manga is during science class, when the teacher is lecturing and I'm bored out of my mind, and I start doodling in my science notebook. the only problem is that I have to hide it away from the teacher Laughing

Ha ha ha, that's nice way of practicing Smile I think I should od the same thing

Well, I searched for web sites, as shankz advised, and found some really good ones.

So, I'll post URLs here in case someone as lazy as I am looks into this thread Smile

http://www.polykarbon.com/tutorials
http://artcorner.org/tutorials/lessons
http://omu.kuiki.net/class.shtml
http://www.howtodrawmanga.com/tutorial/tutorial.html
http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/farp/art.html

Umm, the last one is kinda compicated. I mean it's not really a tutorial, but a bunch of articles from experienced artists, which are very useful to read.

I'll post more if I come across good sites Smile

instead of websites that'll teach you... why don't you go down to the bookstore or something and buy a book on how to!

or instead go to a library and borrow it! yeah...
