Some more info... hope the music WILL be good... at least as good as in BECK.. ^_^
Musical artists Anna Tsuchiya (age 21) and OLIVIA (age 26) have been cast as the singing voices for the characters Nana and Reira respectively. They will sing new songs to be used in the anime, which begins airing next month, and those songs will also used as the opening and closing themes.
NANA has enjoyed much success in both movie and manga form, and as inspiration for several songs. Musical artists Mika Nakashima (age 23) and Yuna Ito (22) topped the charts with music inspired by the series.
With the series now making its way to television as an animated series, creator Ai Yazawa's biggest concern was the music. Since the main character Nana is a girl with hopes of becoming a musician, music plays a key role in the story.
Out of several candidates, Anna Tsuchiya was chosen for Nana Osaki's singing voice - Mika Nakashima's role in the live action movie, and OLIVIA has been cast as the singing voice for Reira, who was played by Yuna Ito.
Tsuchiya will be singing the opening theme, "rose" as "ANNA inspi' NANA(BLACK STONES)," and OLIVIA will be singing the ending theme "a little pain" as "OLIVIA inspi' REIRA(TRAPNEST." These songs may be released as CD singles in the future. |

| I hope the anime can live up to its manga counterpart cuz the manga ROCKS! I've watched the movie and to be honest, it was REALLY disappointing at least it was for me. I hope the punk music is good. [img:1130:1210:1450384d47]http://www.nana-nana.net/images/nana/cookie/27.jpg[/img:1450384d47] A pic of the NANA characters in the anime. (They look better in the manga!) |

| Love the opening song by Anna Tsuchiya, hope they stick with that type of music for the rest of Nana's songs. |

| I didn't like the opening song so much, but I did enjoy the anime greatly. I definitely will watch the next episode. It felt shorter than usual, and I just love the characters already. I wish I can say more. |

the opening song was......eh...... but, the singer used to be a model! so, i guess she's still learning.
the first episode ROCKED. so far, i like it more than the live action. altho i admit i've only seen about 20min of both, hehe.
the ending song was great imo, and i look forward to watching the rest of this show! |

| Quite a dissapointment for me so far.... The movie music is much better... Mika Nakashima rules as Nana!!! And I don't like the graphics... manga is much better... as usually... |

I love the music, though I wouldn't know what genre I would put it in. The drawing wasn't as original like Paradise Kiss, but still good. Is it just me or does Hachi(?) looks different? Maybe I should reread the mangas again. lol.
I will for sure going to watch this untill the end! _________________ Nankurunaisa |

I've watched the 2nd episode and I've very pleased. I didn't want the episode to end so soon! Although it's some sort of past recollection, it's just as good! Nana's love story could resonate with some people, but not too many. Still, Nana as a character was able to touch my heart. I really like this series and I definitely want to see more.
I didn't want the episode to end~ |

| Ep 2 and 3 are like flashback eps. Giving some background as to where nana is coming from and what's happened to her and why moving to tokyo is such an important step for her. I just hope it's not all flashback stuff and to get on with the present. |
