On a different note, and this may have been brought up before, who is the mystery girl in the OP? She has long light green hair (no, not Tsuruya), a centre parting, green or blue eyes and small hair ties at her temples. I must be blind to have only just noticed her now. I also must be going mental if she appears in the episodes and I just don't remember her...
She appears directly after Mikuru on that flying clock-face.
Also, is it true there is going to be an episode 15?
She's Kimidori Emiri, and she actually has a little more background in Volume 8 of the Haruhi novels.
She's an alien like Nagato. Kyon or Itsuki, forgot which one, explains that she watches over Nagato ever since Nagato started developing more personality, etc.

I don't know about Fall, but the second season was confirmed in a Japanese magazine. Kyoto Animation also did a live-action promo stunt for it on 7/7/07 (Tanabata).
