I voted "mum" cuz if i would be speaking english in my house, that's how i'd call her! Laughing

Actually i'm speaking french at home, so i call her "mama" but in a more french-ish way lol Razz

I call her "Mum". Even for my elder sibling, I still call him/her "Brother" or "Sister". Well, can't be helped since it has been planted in me since young and I just felt awkward calling my elder siblings by their name ^^;

yeah i think i understand what you mean. It's a little like most of us calling our parents by their names. We're used to call them "mom" or "dad" or "mommy" or "daddy" (or whatever) and it became a habit, so calling them by their names only once might get you feel uncomfortable... (well, it's my case anyway) I tried once, and I was like "ew that sounds so weird... " lol. Confused

The other day I was yelling at my ma cuz she was saying stupid stuff and suddenly my older sister starts yelling at her...it was quite funny, she was calling my ma old lady. In hmong old lady sounds kinda wierd, it's really disrespectful but, she deserved it.

My sister just makes me laugh. She calls my ma old lady but she's still in her 40's, and I don't really think being in your 40's is that old. But eventhough she's in her 40's she sometimes acts old, so may be sometimes it is okay to call her that. LoL.
