do you call your mother, mum, mummy or mother? Or maybe her actual name?

I don't call my mom any of those, well, I just called her mom right now but, I usually just call her Ma. I'm not really used to calling her mom, mother, mum or mommy. I don't really talk to her at all...lol.

i dont usually call to her all that much...

but when i do i use either mama or ma.
shes usually the one that calls for me.

I guess I'm still the only freak who calls his mom by her name. She didn't change her name when she married my dad, so for the last year or so my brother and I have actually been calling her by her last name. I always called her by her name even when I was little and people always gave me this weird look. When we had to move to Costa Rica people actually though that she was our dad's live-in mistress.

Is using her name to call her that uncommon?

NOTE: We're not even remotely asian.

i call my mum Ma or Woman....like "Oi Woman!"
i would like to call my parent by thier names, but too late/weird to staat now.

of course i call my mum 'mum'. It would be freaky calling her 'mother'. Reminds me too much of Norman Bates from Pyscho. 'Mother! Mother!'

I called her Okasan, actually. She's gotten used to it. Sometimes I call her "Kasama" as a tribute to Tsukiyomi, heehee

I usually caller her ma mom. I don't call her mum. I caller her by her first name if she isn't paying attention or if i'm calling for her.

when i was a wee toddler i used to call my mother "mommy" then as time goes on.. i eventually just called her "mom" other times i would call out to her "MAMI!!"... yeah. Razz
