Shounen or Shoujo?

I like Shounen more, because they have more action and are funnier, Shoujo is often just cute, it's something I don't like.
But like Sevenseas said, if the story is great, it doesn't matter if it's the one type or the other Smile

i would say shounen anime becuz of the action n stuff, its kewl but for manga i would perfer shoujo becuz if you read action manga.... not too funy becuz no active movement n no colour x.x hard to see wat is happening.

shounen for sure, i don't really find it exciting to read a manga about plp's relationships. sometimes it could be interesting as an extra but not as a main story.

Definitely Shonen!The drawings are better than most shojo.The drawings in shojo are too cute.I don't like that kind of drawings.I prefer more to "realistic" kind of drawings.

I actually prefer the lovey-dovey romantic-comedies of the shoujo genre, though I do enjoy the occassional action-oriented series. Usually I'm happiest with a chicks-with-guns or chick-who-kick-ass show... I guess that would be some kind of cross between the two, maybe more shounen though. I don't think since Love Hina there has been a decent mainly male-targetted harem romance (if you even want to consider LH to be male-oriented). Though I really enjoyed Mahoraba ~ Heartful Days and I enjoy watching cute girls (Ichigo 100%), I'd like to see a more shounen-style harem romance

eh, guess it's whatever I'm in the mood for

Shonnen as unforunately most Shoujos go down the wrong path in terms of plot development and without action (present in Shonnen), it leaves the manga lifeless. That doesn't mean shoujo isn't good as alot of good shoujos have superior dialogue and character emotion.

Shounen... Becuz most of the time in Shoujou animes they have WAY too many girly guys or Yaoi. One or the other >>;;...

Shounen has more action, and I guess since I grew up with mainly males, they have a more appeal to me.

Shounen appeals to me more since it has so much more action and comedy. All of my girl friends love shoujo, but i just can't stand it. i.e i abhor drama and love pairings and whatnot. And, the art style in shounen is much better (the guys generally do not look like women)
