Anime-Source Synopsis & Reviews
There wasn't really a synopsis so you know.
The intro movie for this show was awesome. That's what it must be like in an opium den.
So far this show is strange in a fun and interesting way. I hate that annoying black thingy. If I was that character, I'd throw it like a football. Maybe I can make a perfect spiral with it. And the earwings will help it glide. The character shapes look like those in Tim Burton films. |

Now this was suprising that wish granting woman is no other than the dimensional witch from Tsubasa Chronicles! Now i know why black Mokona stayed and only the white one left
First episode was promising, this just may be series worth watching! _________________ ~Everybody says that I am evil, but that's not true.

I agree, the character designs with thier long slender bodies and legs reminded me of Nightmare Before Christmas.
Initially I taught I would have difficulty adjusting to the artwork but somehow it seems to fit just right for this series.
What made the first episode instantly likable to me was the humour. So reminded me of FMP:Fumoffu. Very funny in all the right places. |

| Well i really like the manga for holic so ill bew watching this, at least for now. Character designs are pretty mych the same as TRC and the xxxholic manga so i was expecting that. Started off a little slow but its got the humour which is what i liked about the manga but only to an extent. Anyways ill watch a few more before and see how they turn out... |

This anime has some high standards to live up to and I hope it can pull it off. I'm a little worried that it took so long for this adaptation to occur that it might be overly hyped at this point. On the other hand, it followed TRC season 1, which is an interesting twist, and it's not as though it doesn't have a very solid story foundation to stand on. As long as the production company can give us a solid theme, some good animation, a decent sound track, and decent acting; then everything else is already done! Hrm... guess that's still a lot to pull off.
It's hit or miss with these works... hopefully this one will be a hit. _________________ You can't hold no groove if you ain't got no pocket. |

| Watanaki moves really weirdly. His arms and legs flail in every direction and sometimes it looks like he's dislocated a shoulder or something. It kind of makes him look like a marionette/puppet. Also he overreacts to a lot of things which is funny in most situations but sometimes is over the top. |

I'm a bit disappointed by the overall animation. It's a bit too.....cartoonish, for the lack of a better word. The characters' voices also threw me off a bit. They're not what I imagined at all.
The manga is so dark and sensual, but I don't get that feeling at all from the anime. Hopefully, it (the anime) will improve.
Oh well. |

FIrst of all,I really like the OP song! The ED was good too! The drawing was the same as TRC and the manga and also the movie. The movie basically outlined the beginning similar. What I didn't like about it was that the Black Monkona came out when it wasn't supposed to. How will the adapt when TRC will show up? _________________ Nankurunaisa |

| What should I watch first, the movie or the series? I haven't read any of the manga, so I don't know if the movie gives anything away or is it just introductory. |

I beleive the movie takes place after the series is started, so if you wanted to watch in chronological order, i'd start with a few eps of the series then watch the movie. I watched the movie then started on the series but it didnt really ruin anything.
Anyway, wasnt really impressed with the movie or series but that's me. watch and decide for yourself. |

The beginning of the movie and the first ep. os the same of same enought aht it doesn't matter. If you have seen TRC, then you already know the part where they both collide. The movie have no plot to the series. you just know their personality. _________________ Nankurunaisa |
