Finally we're able to talk about warm, sunny weather. I love it!! So anyway, what annual event do you consider to be the official kick-off to the summer season? Is it the end of school, Uncle Ted's barbeque, Memorial Day (or other national holiday in your home country), first day of 80F degree weather, the day the first ice cream truck rolls by? I can think of a thousand more.
To me, it's always been Memorial Day (May 31st). My town has a big celebration every year and back when I was in school, it began the countdown of days preparing for final exams and ultimately... the last day of school.
Now it's your turn.... _________________

For me it would be the first day I find a wasp in my house...
You just cant have summer without wasps...
and so summer realy starts when you see the first one buzzing round you'r house trying to escape by hitting itself gainst a closed window until it finaly decides to start chasing you round the house...
..so yeah...the frantic Waspophobia dance around the family householed marks the first day of summer to me~^^ |

Melissaphobia... fear of bees (and approriately, my old bitchy boss was named Melissa).
finding them in your mailbox or above much-used doorways is the worst _________________

I realy dont know...because bees and bumbblebees dont scare me one bit.
Its only wasps and hornets. And they'r from a different family anyways. But I dont know wether or not it has its own scientific phobic name.
...but admit it....Waspophobia is a great word for it!!!
yes it is. Especialy when its the passage way to freedom from the room they are in... |

| I would definitely have to say that summer officially begins for me when my last final is over. There's just something so liberating about finishing all your tests (regardless of your scores -__-). Once I finish my finals, it's like a huge weight gets lifted off my shoulders, and I'm free to sleep 10 hours a day and catch up on all the rest I've missed out on during school. |

Personally, I kick summer off with about a week of pure anime marathon. Every anime I have watched over again and reviewed which usually takes me about a week when going on little sleep and 7 times the usual amount of caffine. _________________ [img:450:200:d0a28f8b61]http://www.anime-source.com/upload/uploadFiles/9979.jpg[/img:d0a28f8b61]

| For me, when summer offically starts is when the weather hits around 80 degrees. When it's 80 degrees over here, IT'S DYING!!!! I could feel heat rashes and feel my skin sizzling in the heat. And when it actually is summer....I just want to do, cuz it can get really hot... |

Well yeah, if you want to get technical... it's June 20th, but where's the fun in that?
Summer means the beach, ice cream, hot girls in skimpy clothes, blockbuster movies, sunlight until 10pm... be creative, be nostalgic!! _________________
