well i watched the raws to 14 and 15... very "enlightening" episodes

Rika has the power of foretelling, and from what I read, she might be the reincarnation of Oyashiro

Remember in episode 2, how the kids were playing a game like Clue? Mion "I have solved all the mysteries! The murderer is Rika-chan! She used poison! She committed the murder in the medical officer!" Rika "I like killing them slowly with poison."

Irie's death in the third arc sure is eerily similar to that game.

yeah i watched episode 14 and 15 today
it is getting quite clear now
rika can tell future alright. but the most confusing thing in these question arcs is keiichi's supersticious wishes where everyone dies at the end. From the 3rd arc, i dont think rika is the reincarnation of Oyashiro because there is a greater force controlling her when she showed the detective the best view in town. If she is the reincarnation of Oyashiro then she should have these incredible death wish powers.
My other theory is that all the members in the leading families have some demon blood. From the second arc where Mion tells keiichi about how they usually tortue people to get satisfactions for their demon sides. i think Rika has the demon blood in her as well, which explains why she switched.
but the best way to find out is to watch the answer arc!!!

Just saw 17, started a few days ago, Im getting mad at this series lol. I love Rika and Satako! Heck nearly every character at some point I liked and with all the disturbing things going on Im sad. This is the first time watching this type of anime and I can see why, Im bad with sad endings in anything really and even tho the series isnt over, I feel like Ive just seen 5 different depressing seasons ;/

In 17 I cant belive the finger nail thing..omg OUCH. Those evil people! Plus im outraged that more then likly they made satakos brother "disapear".

Its been a long time where I wanted to "jump" into an anime and save everyone! Nii Nii is comming!!!

in all the episodes there is... 17 has got to be the most disturbing episode, really. Not even the USO DA! can live up to some nail-removing manicure

yeah i agree, the nail removing scene is just too disturbing but somehow brings back the mind
in the beginning of the answer arc, i suspect that Shion is the one who pulled Mion into the room because i think she got fed up with the family business.

man... does that makes things a bit clear...

so, it was shion's doing all along. however we still need to see what makes her snap at keiichi though. That's the only question left answering.

Though when the text was flying in the preview, i thought i saw the word "syringe" and "kitchen knife". Maybe Rika's fate will be shown next episode? in full animation?

This last arc has explained a lot about Shion's behavior.

I wonder what was in the injection intended for her - was it the same thing as the one that Rena and Mion tried to give Keiichi in the first arc? If it was really there at all that is, it might have been his delusions. Shion seems to be locked into the same paranoid delusions cycle that Keiichi was.

1. Definitely lives up to the name of Answer Arc
2. Definitely lives up to the name of Detective Chapter

OMG, just watched ep 21, and I AM TOTALLY CONFUSED!!!

I know this arc is suppose to be the answer arc for the Watanagashi arc ( ep 4-8 ), but I just don't get WHO killed Keiichi at the end of episode 8. From the look of the killer's clothes, it seemed like MION was the one who killed him, but why would she do that? And how would she know about the three promises that Keiichi and Shion made when Keiichi was just about to be stunned?

And who was that in ep 22 preview?!

there's episode 22 but in raw so i had to w8 for the sub
but
the detective arc sure answers a lot of things since it unlock the mysterious of all those murders and Shion's intention and all. i read it from someone who played the game that Keiichi died because of heart failure. the image of Shion/Mion stabbing his hand is only his illusion.
the arc surely make one question stick, the question is
who is behind all the curses? If Satoshi didnt die because of villagers then it must be someone else. and in the 3rd arc right at the beginning i think i saw Satoshi's body in a sac after being tortured but who else can do those kind of torture except for the head house??
anyway we just have to w8 for the next episode
i think we be seeing Rena's evil side in the next arc

this serie is sooo grreat. I liked it so Much. all the characters are bunch of psychos... I couldnt finish it... but soon, it'll be done. I really cant wait to see the end of that serie

well

in the previous scene before Mion was stungunned to her death in the well, Shion asked her for help in escaping. She undressed herself too, hinting that they switch places one last time. Keiichi was stabbed by a delirious Shion, and lastly (according to people played the game) Keiichi died not because of the stabbing, but from an acute heart failure in the hospital.
