Thats a codec problem not a downloading problem.
Make sure you have:
fddshow
XviD
DivX
That should take care more of the codec problems. Post in the tech forum if you still have other problems or if you want to know where to find the codec.
Episode 6 was hilarious. Ep 7 not bad as well... those are some pretty bad Otaku.. especially that drunk dude singing.. lol |

It is unlicensed for all regions except R2-Japan at the moment. Watching it in countries other than Japan on formats that is unapproved by the owners is still a violation of their copyright.
The issue is that the company that produced the anime decided that they had enough of people watching their invested product for free, i.e. without any form of direct visible income to them. So they decided to put their foot down and say "Hey you! We're a bit pissed now, so stop it, okay?"
By the way, Genshiken is just one among the many titles listed under Media Factory's portfolio of interests. Take a look here. |

I didn't know that the anime within Genshiken (Kujan) was an actual series. Did it air on TV or is it an OAV?
I just about died when Saki saw the wall scroll on the ceiling.
A bunch of drunk college students piling into a small dorm room... ah, brings back some memories <g>.
It occured to me that perhaps Genshiken is the ex-president's basis for his thesis and that the members are all just his lab rats <g>. _________________ [IMG:119:90:283352dc7f]http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e36/Tank252ca/HoiHoiSanPointing.gif[/img:283352dc7f]Tank252ca |

Media factory liscensed quite a hand full of animes in japan( region 2 aka R2)
and from wat i heard they also sent several cease and desist letters to the fansub groups concerning the animes, and thus led their discontinuation and removal from distribution
damn

| Just watched the first ep of this show and I have quite a bit resentment building up since I can't associate with those characters at all. It really bored me too. Is this just an otaku anime for otakus or does it actually have some good humor later on? |

The comedy centers around the Genshiken activities ( still within the otaku context ) but broad enough to reach out to the masses. However as the personalities of these club members seem to piss you off, I might give a fair warning that your little resentment might build up.
Perhaps a good place for you to consider whether to continue on with the episodes would be episode 4 or 5, after Ohno is introduced ( that would be 33% of the series then ). Since then, the core nucleus of the group as well as more fleshing out of their activities and personalities will have been shown. |

| Damn it, we were only 5 episodes short from the end. 5! Now i'll forever have this feeling of uncomplishment for not finishing the series, that is ofcourse if they don't license it, but still so close yet so far. |
