I just finished this gem of Magical Girl genre and I also just added a review of it on the site if you guys were interested. I really think it deserves more mention as it transcends most shows of its genre.
I was just wondering if there were any other fan of the title here among the Anime-Source community? |

| Think this tread is quite old but yeah i do watch it about 3 to 4 years ago. None of my friends ever watch it so we don't really discuss much about this anime. |

It's a shame isn't it? I think it is truly one of those great shows that people just don't take the chance to see... What did you like most about it? |

| Haha....hmmm what did i like about it.....i'm not too sure, somehow i just manage to see it on tv and follows it all the way. Maybe the catching music attracts me. The main character is cute but the animation is quite old. Hmmm...seems like i'm also curious abt how she is gonna go thru her daily life like that, that's y i watched it. How about you? Y did you like it? |

I've watched it.
I think me and you, ohtori, were the only users that wrote a review for this anime here on A-S (: |

Good point Himitsu,
It seems it hit us hard the most around here...
And to SolidSnakeX - The first thing that attracted me to Fancy Lala was the premise and the fact that it was out of print, making it a challenge to find but also a title that needed to be found that much quicker... When I started watching it I adored the opening and the very first episode was also fantastic. The ending song was also one of those nostalgic pieces that reflect the "time" premise so well. (The opening with the dinosaurs was also an interesting touch).
Mid-way through I started being less excited by the show (especially during those water imps episodes), afterwards though it picked up again in a big way with the episode that dealt with how she saw her mother in her own space as opposed to at home (only series that deals with that kind of thing I think...) And then you have the ending! One of the best endings ever, packs the series in such a wonderful way even the water imps episodes made sense! One of my favourite shows thus far and I don't think anything can quite compare. I have heard that "The Girl That Leapt Through Time" plays with magic in ordinary settings like Fancy Lala does. Do you know if that's true because if so, I am there too (though I am sure it won't be quite as rewarding as Lala) |

I'd say that "The Girl That Leapt Through Time" and "Fancy Lala" have the same 'feel', but I wouldn't necessarily deem it as magic. And I'd say the movie is more 'action-packed' than Fancy Lala.
I enjoyed both shows : D |

| Is the movie the girl that leapt through time out already? coz i heard it on radio....oo roughly the same stuff as lala. Hmmm shld watch it den. Will write a review on it if i still remember the whole thing but i don't. Only remember the ending....dunno how to phrase it, izzit a good or sad ending? Sad as in the little dragons are gone, good is that she can live her life as a normal gal...maybe continuing her career as a singer? |

The bit about being Lala can still happen for Miho in the future as she will grow to look like Lala (which makes it beneficial that she did not become that successful as Lala...)
The ending was really memorable but I think the whole thing was great, maybe watch it again (or maybe just some important episodes) and then write a review if you want to. Always nice to hear other's opinion of it |
