How do you think the whole universe thingy began??
I was talking to my brother's friend the other night and we were talking about this, he's a mentalist and does all this stuff in phycology and he mentioned a few things on how different people think how it began.
I think there was originally one mind, a mind that mastered itself and became perfect. The mind then started to think how did i become to exsist? Then the mind begins to think of different possibilities until it came across this interesting one. The mind thought of a mind within itself and that was the "first person or monkey" thing from the beginning cycle of the humans and then it thought if i can make one, can i make two? so then it made another one and those minds within that mind were individuals so they had their own will, so the original mind just witnessed how everything will begin.
So this original mind is just all theory and could be possibly what people call *god*. My brother's friend thinks anyone can become "god" if you believe in something enough you can make it happen so that the whole god thing isn't really just a power or creator of the universe, just pretty much all theory.
But instead of the human mind one it could have been the big bang and with that there may have been several other mastered minds as well and they all came up with different things and that might be what people believe to have different universes besides the one we have.
Well that was a bit of a ramble What do you think?
I don't think the universe was created. It was probably already there. No one knows how the beginning of time started nor will ever will. _________________ [img:400:140:a13d904028]http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r8/bigdave_89/Created%20Banners/Dark_Magician_Girl_Sig2.jpg[/img:a13d904028]
Well, based on scientific experiments and theories we can be pretty sure about the big bangy. Nothing has undermined this theory yet. We can see back about 13 billion years or so and testify the universe was still there, of course these calculations are about 50% unreliable, so it might just be 7 billion years, we don't know.
Also the background radiation agrees with big bang perfectly. The only thing we know we don't know, and we probably never will, are the first seconds after big bang. I don't want to come into different theories about this now, as these have none or few arguments for them so far and have no relevancy for this descussion.
There is nothing that can scientifically prove the existence of an almighty being neither brain nor God. An almighty being had to first create the universe before creating living stuff, which is created by the other 'ingriedients' or the universe, which is created by the first energy in the universe - a kind of chain reaction. So first starting a chain reaction, then 10 billion years later say; I want small one-celled beings, who can't even think, to be created on this planet doesn't sound like any God I know, nor a brain for that sake.
Well I, personally, believe there has always been an equivalent mass/energy composed in the universe, before and after time and I think there may have been several, if not billions or maybe endless, of more or less similiar universes before the beginning and this universe will not be the last. If an almighty brain or God created this certain mass/energy to begin with; don't ask me. But if he still has something to say; nay! The creater is just a stationary spectator or dead, if he ever existed. We're on our own. _________________ "It is also paradox that the earth moves round the sun, and that water consists of two highly inflammable gases. i know what you mean there, i pretty much had the same perspective before i taked to my brother's friend. He had said just think about the other possibilties, one that he had mentioned was that you are a mind or some form of thought, your location is empty, big and pitch black, you're alone and have no one else around. A gust of wind passed you and during this gust of wind it, you had a vision that you were on this thing called Earth, you (for some reason) had chosen to see everyone around to to be in the form of a 'human' and that you are here sitting on your chair or where ever you are and reading this right now. Everything you know of at the this moment and have experienced feels like reality to you, but suddenly the gust of wind finally passed by and then you realise that this whole reality wasn't real and it was just some vision that happened when the gust of wind passed. And here you are again..all alone waiting for the next thing to happen.
I had another one that he had mentioned, but I'll leave that in my next post. I guess what I meant was how do you think we were created, our whole reality.

Arg! this is like exactly the same thing that "don't read if you're easily offended" turned into.
Be carefull, or this will turn into a fundamentalist vs actual science battle.
I'm exhausted after finally getting all the information and dissproving the fundamentalist's arguement.
But if anyone starts a debate here, I can't resist getting nvolved. Everyone be niiiiice.
i don't want this to turn into a debate i just want to see what people's theories are. if anyone doesn't agree with someones theories then go have a cry about it and don't winge about it on here

i think the problem is that a lot of people have this belief that science and religion can't exist together.
i for one, think something/someone created the universe; not necessarily the Christian God, but a god
To me this makes a lot of sense, because a lot of research nowadays is pointing to the fact that there is an "intelligent designer"
that's all, no argument in this thread, ok subbergod?
btw you haven't disproved anything, and you havent presented any evidence, but we'll continue this in the other thread ^_^ _________________ Shepherd the lost sheep
