A-S's Death Note Synopsis & Info.
And the only character that looks like he/she does in the manga is Watari. |

WHAAAAAAAATTTT!?!?!??! YEA RIIIGHT, r u serious? they finally made an anime, omfg BADAZZ! even tho this is one of the few or the only "manga" that i prefer over the "anime", well i'm speaking too early of course but i think i rather READ death note than trying to read the subtitles of what they're saying and having to stop the screen everytime its a big explanation.
i don't know imo deathnote is more of a manga type series becuz of the no action thing but w/e i'll see the anime anywayz. SWEET! _________________

4-30-06 (4:24AM EDT)---- Death Note Anime
While sparse details are available, following up Friday's film series news, it's just been revealed that Tsugumi Ooba and Takeshi Obata's Death Note manga will be adapted to animation by Nippon Television Network in Japan. A video game is due there this winter and a tribute album will be released in June. No official timetable exists for the anime roll-out although a Fall 2006 (we're hearing October) release is likely. |

For the moment I'm looking forward to the live action movie and the last chapter(s?) of the manga. (btw, the first post alludes to the movie. and I hapen to agree with boboobobobo). _________________

i read on a different site (i think anime info? or one like that) that death note is being released in october.
i really, really hope it's being released in october. i haven't seen any trailors for it though, so i'm a little dubious about when it will be aired. still, i'm looking forward to seeing how the complicated explanations are altered, because there's no way they won't be simplified in some way. *please, make them easy for me to understand! i skipped pages of deathnote because i was too stupid to understand what they were talking about!) |

Death Note: Synopsis and Reviews.
According to the official website for Death Note ( http://www.ntv.co.jp/deathnote/ ) the show will premiere on October 03. I've been waiting a long time for this one, I hope it is worth it. Given how it is all about mental games between Kira and L, I hope the manage to pull it off successfully. The pacing is going to be key here.
Unfortunately, I'm also sure that Viz is going to license this pretty damn fast... since they also hold the license of the manga. _________________

man, of course they're gonna license it quickly, with how popular the manga is. i can't wait, i hope they don't license it too soon. but if it does get licensed, i'm definitely buying it. i'm excited to see if there are any trailors yet.
i hope they license the live action movie, i wanna see it...but i hope it's subtitled... |

What's with the promo coming out 4 days before the airdate of the first episode? they might as well not have made one at all... It's just 4 days.
Anyway, I'm glad they chose Mamoru Miyano to do Light's voice. He also played Ryo in Fafner: Right of Left and Tamaki in Ouran High School Host Club. I think it suits Light pretty well. I'm afraid i can't say the same about Ryuuk, though. I expected it to be.. I don't know... more sinister, maybe? Right now it sounds kinda retarded. *shrug* Maybe it's just a matter of getting used to it.
Another hope for this Anime: whoever subs it had better not sub "Light" as "Raito". Because the name IS Light. _________________

yeah, i was starting to think it was cancelled with how long it took for the promo to come out, and it wasn't even that good. not much movement, especially with ryuuku. when he talked, only his mouth moved. and i didn't like that the five seconds at the end were just a picture...
but i do like the voices that we know so far, ryuuku sounds exactly like i imagined he would. |

One thing's for certain: It is promising. I just might follow this series all the way and give it priority over other anime coming out this fall which I have high expectations of. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97] |

| anyone who has read the manga has to watch this anime...while some say this show doesn't have enough action it is quite the contrary i just watched the RAW episode for the second time it was so good couldn't understand anything and it was still freaking awesome...i'm sure it well lose tons of fans though once they catch up to the 7th manga and then people will stop watching even though it is still good after that. |
