Oh its on between Kira and L! Death Note is so good, and since its been a long time since I read the manga, the story is awesome, and I think they're doing a good job so far. Looking forward to more

This anime is VERY VERY good... unpredictable... good story... great main character and antagonist. Great imagination and originality.
I give it a 9 and possibly a 10 if it gets better later. |

Me too I agree, the story has its originality, great main characters and the story and actions being brought out, very nice.  |

As much as I hate it, I think you're right... it's pretty sad given how the storyline at that point isn't completely wrapped up. I kinda wish I hadn't read the manga, given how well the anime has played out so far. It still bothers me a bit how I have "just like in the manga" in the back of my mind while watching this. I have to admit it, though. I thought Death Note would be incredibly difficult to adapt to an anime, but so far it is doing great.

That would be awesome if the anime just ended at the middle arc. Totally uncharacteristic for an ending...
I would support it if it went it like that but from what I'm seeing, the anime is moving forward at a very fast rate, like 2-3 chapters every episode. 39 episodes is approx the 108 chapters the whole manga is made up of.
Somehow I think they're going to go through with the whole series.

I suppose then then ending will be refreshing for me,
since i sorta dropped it when it was licensed and after the entrance of chocolate boy etc. I sorta lost interest...
Oh I do wonder how Death Note could've ended....

Having read the entire manga I'm pretty satisfied with how it ended, and as others have said already, surprised that they're doing quite well with keeping to the manga so far in the early stages.
I thought the turning point in the middle was really good despite what most people seem to think - it's atypical, just as this manga is with placing the bad guy as the main character which is what makes this an original and good concept in this day and age of clones.
My only gripe at the moment is the portrayal of Light seems more manic than calm and calculating as in the manga. |

yeah, i think the anime is great and so because of the animation and all the new scenes but Light definitely looked better in the manga than in the anime.  |

| Death Note is great as. I've read the manag before but the killings in the anime, are what you say.... Awsome (sp?) as hell. The voicing is good to. I have to give a lot of credit the mangaka that started this series. ((It's so interesting)) |

thumbs up for good sound effect, great animation and the voice is haunting. Too bad it's not a horror that surely will be great. |

Well after eppie 4, you can see how calm and collected Light is.
Love Ryuku's seiyuu, fits him perfectly

i been waiting for a long time to watch something as good as Death Note
Ive seen the movie trailer for the actual movie and i think they are making a second 1.
The plot is so twisted and it is getting even twister later on. I wish i have the mind and the calmness of Light

The information I was following regarding the live action movie was that there will be two parts to it, the first which has come out already, and the second to be released at the same time as the anime, along with a game as well... I'll try to find the link where I read this from...
Ep 4 is out now...hoping to see L come out of the shadows - though it's still early I think? |
