SYNOPSIS COURTESY OF A-S

When someone is near death, a band appears around that person's neck. The darker it becomes, the less time the person has left to live. The weak Michiru Kita has the rare ability to see these bands and discovers that her classmates Chika and Shito have them... and they are completely black! Through them she encounters the Zombie-Loan agency, for which Chika and Shito must work hunting down zombies in order to repay their loan to stay alive. And her ability to see the marks around people's necks would make Michiru a great asset for their job... If she is willing to help.

I liked the manga, but the first episode of the anime was less than impressive. Same story but... I don't know... Well, I'm still gonna give it a shot.

I was thinking the same thing. Of all the new series being released this summer i was looking forward to this one the most, I was hopeful. But the first episode left me very dissapointed. I'll try another episode, and see how it progresses.

haven't read the manga at all.. but yeah.. found the show quite weird... though i liked the OP and ED...

somehow the plot was kinda messed up... if i hadn't read the synopsis beforehand i wouldn't have understand what was going on...

I've never read the manga either. I was kind of skeptical after I read the synopsis but once I watched it I actually thought it was pretty awesome. The story seems kinda weird, but I think that's what interests me about the anime. I kept thinking of Death Note each time they mentioned Shinigami or Shinigami Eyes.

I found the first episode to be interesting. Nothing ground breaking or overly exciting, but worth watching (so far). The main character annoys me a bit because of her type of personality, but I am going to take the assumption that she matures throughout the story.

Initial impression of Zombie Loan after the first 2 episodes.

OP was really bad. Couldn't listen to more then a few seconds. The show, Irritating and predictable. It tries way too hard to be cool and ends up being pathetic. Of course thats just a first impression. At this point though, I doubt I'll end up watching more.

Of course if you enjoyed it, then good for you. I'll move on and hopefully find something a bit more suited to my tastes.

watched teh first ep.. didnt think much on it.. watched the 2nd ep, skipped right to middle, watched a bit.. then skipped just till credits.. done..

not gonna go further with this. need a bit more flavor, its like an instant noodle anime -just add hot water ~voila! instant anime!!.. but it definitely needed some eggs.. yeh eggs would be good...., if this were some sentai i wouldnt mind teh excessive posing.. but yeh.. really looks geeky. if there was a poser anime category then this would fit the description, literally. Razz

First impressions are important.

And that is why Z-Loan hasn't impressed me at all, not with the voice acting, not with the OP and ED and certainly not with the premises of the story. I'll still follow it though, because it's a little too early to judge. Looks like I'll just have to skip the OP and ED. Laughing
