I'm sure most other countries are like the US in respect that there is a huge range and many factors that influence price. Prices can be between anywhere from $30 to $120 or more. Factors that decide include number of episodes, number of volume discs, amount of extras, and age of the series. Popularity also plays a role since the more popular titles can probably get buy on a cheap release while the more obscure titles are printed in smaller numbers making their value higher. _________________

in australia it costs around AUS$30-120 as well but most of the time it depends on how many dvds in there. ill say each dvd will cost around 20 or so cuz i bought a series with 6 dvds in it and it costed me $120. Well i don't really care about that much now cuz i download mine these days. _________________ *If it's a dream, I don't ever want to wake up.*

| $20-100 or more. In the usa. Prices suck. Depending on where you go and how many dvds are in the box. |

| In australia the normal amount for an anime dvd is about $30, though tokyo night train the company usually only cost about $25. The amount to buy a boxset usually differs depending on how many dvds there are. For a full 26 episode series it usually cost about $120 |

In the Philippines, If you're gonna buy in Comic Alley, It will cost you 800 pesos per DVD if it is a series or 850 pesos if it is a movie. Their DVD copies came straight from Japan. Anime series cost around 1600-4000 depending on how many DVDs the series have. _________________

you sure they're not bootlegs? Usually "Region-0" DVDs made by non-legimate distributors are bootlegs. Is there a Chinese audio or subtitle track? Does the box look wicked crappy or have a logo of some no-name company (usually anything other than ADV, Bandai, Geneon, Funimation, CPM, Manga Corps in the US)?

new anime movies for 8-15? I'm still waiting for Cowboy Bebop and GITS Innocence to come down from $20-25. You live in North America, right? _________________

In Canada, the base price for a single DVD can be anywhere between $20 to $30 (Canadian Dollars). For box sets, the amount depends on how many DVDs are included and all that usual stuff. For example, the Neon Genesis Evangelion Perfect Collection, which contained the entire series (excluding the movies) cost about $220.
There is also GST (Government Sales Tax, which right now is 6%) and PST (Provincial Sales Tax, which varies from province to province), which is stamped onto all non-essential items, such as DVDs, which can raise the suggested retail price by a fair amount, depending on where you live. _________________ [IMG:500:100:5f9d323c6a]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/spender/Witchbladebanner3.jpg[/img:5f9d323c6a]
