I just watched Hancock
It's not too bad it starts off great but, somewhere down the line it gets somewhat lame seeing as the plot suddenly just takes a turn into something strange it just suddenly rushed far into it without any warning. In all honesty it could have been improved mostly in terms of length. That way things can take a decent length of time for things to develop. The comedic moments are funny however its mostly dramatic in my opinion.
In the end its a great Idea that somehow was ruined, none the less I still enjoyed this movie. _________________ [img:460:140:921061a6b7]http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/5557/pictureperfect.jpg[/img:921061a6b7]

agreed... there was this whole second-plot that was totally never mentioned in the ads... which I can see why they would want to keep it a secret, but when you're going to a movie expecting to see a 90-minute story about an asshole superhero trying to win over the public and then instead get stuck with a lame twist-plot, it's just disappointing all around.
The visuals and especially the sound were astounding, and I actually liked the acting in this one... a big step up from Smith's weak-ass, sleep-inducing performance in last summer's I Am Legend. However, the aforementioned plot problems coupled with God-awful cinematograhy (shakey-cam the whole time? extreme close-ups on people's faces? seriously? come on... be more creative than that) made this movie hard to fully enjoy. As always, all the cool parts are seen in the commercials and trailers. _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)
Another movie with the theme of mindless violence... impossible after impossible feats are bombarded to the viewers the whole time... I know some movies have more outrageous ideas, but still the way they served it kinda doesn't sit well with me... it kinda makes me go, "that is complete bullsh*t..."
and a monster cliche twist just made me squirm...
but all that seemed insignificant just cause Angelina Jolie was there... _________________
This one lived up to the hype, I guess the death of Leger had something to do with why some people would see it but that doesn't take away from the awesomeness of this film. This was going to be Heath Legers breakthrough performance of his career if he were still alive... I guess his loved ones can be happy in the fact that his last performance on screen was also his best... _________________

Crank
for a movie that was nothing but car chases and gun-fights, it was pretty boring. The music alternates between new age ultrasonic punk to really old pop-songs. I guess they were trying to be funny. A lot of the "jokes" were wicked lame and the acting was very low-budget, so to speak. Too much product-placement... the whole thing is like an 85-minute commercial for Red Bull. Yawn~ _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

Just watched sanitarium or was it INsaniterium.... well what ever. It was boring in the beginning I was expecting some sort of twist though it would've been predictable... In any case the end was a bloody mess but, it was just flat out stupid in some ways I.E if I snapped of your arm would scream and keep screaming until you passed out and died. In this when ever something like that happens they scream for like 3 seconds and start having a conversation... Well to sum things up it was crap.... _________________ [img:460:140:921061a6b7]http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/5557/pictureperfect.jpg[/img:921061a6b7]

Flyboys
I thought it was gonna be wicked lame, but I was quite impressed... mainly with the WWI fighter plane dogfights. My only complaint was that all those pretty-boy actors all look the same to me, so at no point could I tell who anyone was or what their backstory was.
The DaVinci Code
I resisted all the hype that surrounded this movie for many years, but I finally got around to checking it out. I was a little mislead cause I thought the movie was more about the clues that DaVinci himself left behind for future men to decipher, but all the pieces of the trail were left by a modern guy written on DaVinci's works. And I hate Tom Hanks' hairstyle in this movie... so douche-tastic.
Tripping the Rift: The Movie
I liked the tv series when it was on the air... it's kinda like a raunchier version of Futurama, and oddly enough, even though it's all 3D CGI, the art in Futurama is still a hundred times better. Anyway, the movie was good just for the sake of watching it, but it wasn't anything masterful or even worth recommending. If you weren't a fan of the series, don't bother with this one. Oh, and like the Family Guy and Futurama movies... this is more or less just 3 episodes strung together and called a "movie"... you can easily see where the divides will be if and when they put on tv. _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

X-Files: The Movie 2
A pretty decent X-Files "episode"... whether or not I want to say it makes a decent movie is a little bit a stretch. There's really no action, nor any griping suspense. Given how they went through all this effort to revive the series nearly 10 years after the last episode aired, you would think that they would come up with something more epic, something more grand-scale. Something tells me this was only made cause Duchovny and Anderson were bored and wanted something to do. _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

Haha that reminds me, Epic Movie poked fun at that aspect, with their parody version of Da Vinci Code
the portrait that conceals the phrase "So lame, the hair of Tom
... ...And that was the only scene in the movie which I found funny....(coz Epic Movie, in my opinion, was an epic fail XD )
DareDevil- Decent film hero film. Could have been better. The scene where the song Bring me to life was played was pretty nice~
Starship Troopers 3- LOL. I liked the first one and skipped the second one after seeing all its crappy reviews. The 3rd one, while not as good of a quality or budget as the first one, still worth a view. If you're viewing this, don't take ANYTHING in this movie serious or you will not enjoy it. Everything is satire from war to politics to even religion. And its not as gory as the first one.
And at the climax they introduced Mechs! They looked pretty nice but only get a short appearance. Damn!

ahhhahaha... yeah, now I finally get that joke ^___^
updating my list now that I have been hitting the theaters every week in Japan (all the American summer blockbusters are just starting here)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars
This franchise could go on forever and I'll never get tired of it. There are just so many stories to tell. Being a CGI movie didn't really take away from the full effect of being part of the Star Wars universe. The one issue I did have (aside from the voices not matching their live-action versions) was that the story was too concentrated on what was happening with the characters and not so much the whole "universe"... or in this case, the development of the Rebellion. This movie could have been a lot more epic in terms of filling in a lot of the gaps left between Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope. I want to see how Darth Vader becomes so badass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wanted
Reminded me a bit of a combination of Fight Club and the Matrix. Start with some loser nobody trying to find meaning to his life in a hectic crazy selfish world, then give him awesome abilities to do some sweet killing moves. The plot had a trillion holes in it and most of the cool scenes are shown in the trailers, but meh... it was decent enough to kill 2 hours and sap my wallet of 1,200 yen.
Ironman
I know nothing of this series. I couldn't even tell you who Ironman was until I started seeing the ads for this version of it. The first movie (of course there will be more!!) was kinda slow, but that's fine, it did it's part of kinda setting up the series. It focused more on the storytelling-aspect than the actual "beat up the bad-guys" ploy, which I can definitely appreciate. Now I'm dying for the second installment!! _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

Little Mermaid
I actually went and saw the ballet of Little Mermaid a week or two ago and that went with the original Christen Henderson version, and I realised then I hadn't seen the Little mermaid from beginning till end. Made me appreciate an old Disney classic. _________________ Get ready to vote for who you think is the Sexiest Anime Character!!

V for Vendetta
In the near future, the war goes out of hand, spreading even to England. A political leader promises the people peace, if they are abide by his control and surveillance, Vendetta seeks to tell people the truth and what really happened, and people should not have to live under that one guys rule, where you can't even enjoy music.
I thought it was a very nice movie, intricately put together, I seem to be coming in contact with a lot of these types of movies and ideas, where the government takes complete control over the people. _________________ Get ready to vote for who you think is the Sexiest Anime Character!!

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist: Good movie with Kat Dennings, nuff said.
Sex Drive: Decent enough for a teen movie, but I liked it. You get a good preformance from James Marsden and am interesting take on the Amish with Seth Green.
War, Inc.: A John Cusack movie that I never really got to finish due to a bum disk.
Birds of America: A Mathew Perry movie. I like Mathew Perry's stuff, so it was pretty good for me. _________________ [img:450:200:d0a28f8b61]http://www.anime-source.com/upload/uploadFiles/9979.jpg[/img:d0a28f8b61]
I just wanna be your light.
I was actually disappointed with this movie. I think I should really give up on expecting anything from Games to Movie transitions. It doesn't go well... The trailer for this was misleading and I know I should have known better since I actually played the game... but still with that much focus on those flying thingies you might think they have some actual thing to do with the storyline... and the ending was just a shitty anticlimatic let down...
Can anyone out there point me to a movie based on a game that actually did good??? _________________
