Surprised there isnt a thread for this already, i really like this show atm.

Taken from ANN:

Plot Summary: Thor and his twin brother, Rai, are cast off to a forsaken planet by unknown masked men after witnessing the suspicious death of their parents. Given only a beam knife and a smelly satchel, they wander together in search of civilization on the primarily plant based world. They soon discover the plants have the advantage. Only the strong survive; the ones who throw away their humanity and become the beasts humans once were.

being subbed by KissSub. Surprised its an OVA of only 11 eps, from the story line so far id love it to be more.

i almost didnt start watching this as i thought it was shonen-ai from the op (track and anime). Decided to at least watch ep1 and glad i did!

i checked this out because it's a BONES animations. Story seems promising, but there's almost TOO much possibility for an angsty teen main char... I'll give this a few more eps to either hook me or scare me away.

yea i'm on the fence atm. Not really interested atm, but it has the possibility of getting good. Storyline is decent, just hope writers make something of it. Probly turn into a romance action adventure or something.

Was wondering how soon they'd kill off the brother and was kinda surprised it was in the first ep.
I'll give it a few more eps to see what develops and go from there.

After watching 4 episodes I've decided I'll continue watching this. Characters are quite interesting and Thor (the main char) isn't the cliche anime whiny teen (the kid's 12 and he's already kicking monster plant ass!), he's pretty strong and quite sharp. I'm interested to see what this Dagger Pagoda is and story behind his parents' deaths. My only qualms are that the OP doesn't really suit the general setting of the anime and sometimes the characters' noses look MASSIVE (look at their side profile).

I reckon Thor's bro, Rai, is alive. He'll probably appear later on as a member of another Ring.

animation has been consistent thus far.. the character designs kinda look a lot like escaflowne's at some angles.

next eps preview(ep6): it seems that the characters will have grownup a little, a time jump in just 5 episodes? well at least thered be no stalling on would be unrelated and/or unsignificant events(aka fillers) glad the story is moving along nicely.. i doubt too that the other twin would have survived, if they do let them live, its a minus to this series, coz that would be so 'typical' of a plot and what everyone would be expecting.. i hope he stays dead for the betterment of this series and to set this one apart from the others...

ep10, im really glad on the way things turned out, the pacing strangely didnt felt too rushed either.. very good work on the directos part i suppose. the way he relayed out the flow of the scenes.

the refferences to norse myth(although overused as it is) didnt hurt much either.. it actually makes more sense here than on other shows..

its nearing the end now, overall im happy i decided to see this series through as well. the music also kinda grew on me, specially the ed song. im sure gonna miss this series when its over..

i completely agree... i guess no one here has given the show a chance (not sure why) but i am very glad i picked this anime up and i have to say it is pretty magnificent... i'll give it a 9. The story didnt seem that great in the beginning but it just grabbed me in later on.

Tiz is probably one of the hottest anime characters i have ever seen hands down... i really hope Thor gives her a chance to love. Its sad its coming to an end, but it seems to flow perfectly... i was afraid it might seem rushed but thankfully, all is well.

i think the Op/ED were both pretty good.. and the fact that its available in HDTV makes the series seem very cool.. storyline is very interesting..! i'm following nozomi's subs though =P

hmm.. its done at ep11, tho i think a 12th ep would do wonders for this short series, i mean expound the ending into two parts.. coz it really felt like a everything else was crammed into that ending.

like i was just about to feel the weight of tiz dying then suddenly she's a ghost and its all over -so soon.

well all in all not a bad ending i suppose.just something seems to be missing like a final touch to make it really good(but maybe that's just me) well no one seems to have gotten their revenge done exactly as planned, but hey life goes on and i guess that's what i felt the series is about albeit somewhat that ending felt weak at some points, it was a good whole nontheless. a good short story devoid of fillers.

i sorta agree.... it didnt feel rushed but it felt sort of imcomplete.... maybe Tiz's death just numbed me. i'll still give it an 8 or 9 for its great story and drawing. It had a 10/10 up until episode 8.

Wish there was a bit more as well....sorta want to know what happens after adopting "Tiz". Man, this epi bummed me out....
