If you guys remember Death Note, then you need to hear this; Yes, a game for the ps2.
It will be made into a game this winter.
A tribute album to DN (by RHCP? I don't know) will be out this June.

Death Note: Neither Heaven Nor Hell (PS2)
Genre: First-Person Shooter
Players: 1~4 (~16 online)
Release Date: Fall/Winter '06

Players take control of the Devilman God of Death himself, Light Yagami, as he writes people off into cemetaries and history books alike. Using the legendary handgun "Deathnote," Light begins a blood-soaked journey through post-apocalyptic Japan, starting from his home town in Neo Okinawa to the hidden fortress above Tokyo-IV. There, his arch-nemesis L the Firebrand plots an intricate demise...

- Eight weapons based off of the original series (standard handgun, machinegun, Deathnote, Misa, and four others)
- Play as Light, L, or one of L's Shinigami Forces (or create your own character ^^).
- Unlock exclusive bonus content, such as previews of Ohba's next work.

NO word yet for other systems.

oooo That seems cool. I would liket o get that game. Damn I don't have a ps2. A well. The game sounds good I hope the graphics are good. Shooting killing people with a notebook seems like lots of fun and It sounds like it will be a stratigic kinda game.

I've always found the concept of Deathnote to be cool, but I still can't figure out how you can really make a game or a long series out of it, and now they have a game... (This is one who hasn't read past chapter one of the manga off a Shonen Jump preview)

i always thought it would be and rpg or like a stratigy game.

aslo... use misa as a weapon? i wonderhow this works.

The whole FPS thing boggles me @_@. I mean a game at all seem kind of weird. There really isn't that much action in the series mostly battles of the mind (DUN DUN DUNNNNN). I just think any game would be weird....but as a fan I would say that i'll have to play it anyway, just cuz deathnote's awesome lol.

I hope it is good. Doesn't seem like a shooting game. I wonder how there going to do it and what ya gotta do?

I agree. The game would probably suck. You can't really make a good game out of an anime like that and if they do good for them.

I must say, hearing that they will be releasing a game based on the manga series is really interesting.

Hopefully it will be good, compare to some games made from mangas. =\

the style looks different from the manga imo which could be a bad thing for some people.
