I just love how you like to contradict yourself.
On a more serious note however, I don't see why people are so adamant about taking one side or the other. Is it really so hard to believe that a higher power had a hand in creating the universe and decided to employ something like evolution?
And also, I'd like for someone to prove to me that God doesn't exist. I mean people ask for proof of his existence, but isn't that what religion is based on? Faith that God (or whoever/whatever you believe in) does exist right? Forgive me if I'm mistaken in believing that. |

Unfortunately evolution and creationism are two of those things I don't really care about. Personally I find evolution more convincing beacuse of all the evidence scientist typically rub on people's faces, like stratology (I think it's called that), comparative embriology, the fossil record, genetics, etc. etc. That god created the earth and man in 7 days is not my viewpoint because I don't know if god exists or not, and honestly, I don't care either. But since I doubt god's existance I cannot accept the creation of the world by "him". Period. Plus, I have studied the bible and I know that it is not to be taken literally, and that includes creation as far as I know. So far I haven't encountered anything I would call evidence to support creation. That is all for the moment, I suppose.
At 2:30 am after a long day I don't feel like a deep thinker. I know my point is weak, but I'll be baclk later to continue the discussion.

No sorry, I can't. And I wouldn't even if I could. Actually I don't even care whether or not God is fake. It just amazes me how people in almost every internet community will sooner or later get a thread like this started, using the same old arguments for both sides over and over again. In the end noone will be convinced and a lot of time is wasted.
But do whatever you like, I'm outta here.

.....if you belive in creation......*pat on the back*.....good for you......
.......everybody is different......there are those who believe in gOd.....(who make up the majority of the world actualy)....
...and there are those who dont.......who prefer to keep to science and facts.......
....I say good for you all.......keep to yourselves......no need to start up somthing thats only gonna end with no conclusion......
or if there is a conclusion......its probably coz the other party got killed...^^ |

Starting off a topic on Evolutionary theory with "God is fake"? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I don't see that as any different from starting off a discussion on gravity with "God is fake". What fundamentalist atheist bullshit.
The reason I came here (or at least what Subbergod said) was to clear up misunderstandings on evolutionary theory. Subbergod here said that there was a discussion on it previously in which people argued against it. I'll start off by saying these people are very very good at sounding reasonable to laymen. Not very many people have the knowledge to show that it's all BS. (Although a lot of the time, it's pretty obvious BS  ) It has a nice sweet colourful candy shell, but it's still BS. Lying and misleading in the name of Christianity. These people aren't true Christians. They lie and decieve in the name of Christ! Show them what real Christianity is! And so I'm here to educate.
You can call it a debate, but that wouldn't do it justice. It's not two opposing opinions where nobody is right and nobody is wrong. It's not science vs religion as it is so commonly framed. It's knowledge vs ignorance.
However, I'm quite tempted to leave already, seeing as this has already degenerated into "GOD IS FAKE!!!" "NO GOD IS REAL!!!" "NO HE'S FAKE!!!".
So, I guess take your best swing at evolutionary theory  I hope you learn something new about your Universe and planet. |

| Looking back at the thread in question, it's not even really about evolutionary theory. It's about atheism, and that's a whole new kettle of fish. STOP TRYING TO LINK EVOLUTION AND ATHEISM. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME. Most Christians in this world accept evolutionary theory. Most Christian churches do. A lot of biologists are Christians. Evolution does NOT equal Atheism. That's one of the tactics that anti evolutionists employ against evolution. "Hey, if you accept evolution, that makes you an ATHEIST". Most people, being not atheists, will thusly become hostile towards a theory that doesn't say there is no God. Capiche? |
