Yep, I meant Tom (can't believe I couldn't remember his name). I was also thinking that Pluton was Roger's ship; I was just hoping someone else would make it definitive.
I can't imagine what happened to Roger's ship if it was Pluton. It might be that he destroyed it himself or that he did hide it with One Piece.

like ekorui said 20 years ago was the time when Robin's homeland was destroyed and Gold Roger was excuted... Robin was 8 at the time. does anyone think that Robin might be Gold Roger's daughter.
Wow, when you make a theory you definitely go big Its another situation where its hard to say since Oda really hasn't provided any info at all. I would think though that Olivia would have said something about Robin's parentage or something. But, man, if its true, it would suck for Robin; Both her parents got executed by the World Government.

Black Beard might be the father of Luffy and Ace while Black Beard might be the son of Sauro. I’ve never thought about it, but it is possible, though if it was true, then it would’ve been great if this was mentioned or hinted to in the manga.

What One Piece is… I don’t think it is Pluton… it would have been a too great a threat if anyone was to find it, and from what I’ve heard about it, if Rogers had Pluton, then he probably wouldn’t have gotten caught.

A nice thought, though as juggmon said, it would be sad if both her parents were killed.
First I want to thank ekorui for starting this theory discussion because if you think about it, One Piece is one of the only anime/manga that you can have such a conversation about. There are so many holes still left in the story that the possibilities are limitless. Well anyway, back to the discussion.
Roger being Robin's father:
I thought about this one for a little bit and at first I figured it may be a possibility, but then part of the manga led me away from this theory.
Chapter 393 - Olivia is leaving Robin behind and the crew tells her that she doesn't have to come and that "We'll take care of your husband's unfullfilled wish." Ofcourse, she decides to go anyway because she is a scholar of Ohara.
Those statements lead me to believe that her husband was already dead at the time she left for her voyage. If that is the case, then Robin's father died 26 years ago when Robin was 2 years old, rather than 20 years ago when Roger was executed.
Roger's ship:
Well, Pluton may very well be Roger's ship, but I find it hard to believe that Tom would build Pluton for any man. As the world's greatest shipwright, Tom would be the first one to understand the destructive power of that ship. In addition, my impression of him is not that he would make a ship based on somebody else's blueprints, but would instead build it with his own knowledge. His pride "make it with a Don" would not allow it. Ofcourse, I could just be wrong.
One Piece:
Now, there are a couple of things that we all can agree upon
1. It is not a normal treasure or just great wealth. There are more than enough $300 mil plus pirates out there capable of acquiring a vast fortune.
2. It is not something that an ordinary or even just an extraordinary person can acquire. You must be beyond the extraordinary to acquire it.
Alright, here's where it gets interesting. Comparing Luffy and Roger. Roger as are most pirates was an eccentric, who even though he was a pirate, was not hated by normal people. He was a living legend. Luffy is also an eccentric that is embraced by the people who meet him. Throughout the course of One Piece, Luffy is continuously compared to Roger by the people he meets (Smoker, Doctorine, and Gan Fall). From this I will say that there personalities are similar to a degree. (Really gonna stretch it now) If Luffy were to be executed right now the treasure that he would give away would most likely be his hat because that is his greatest treasure (sounds silly but probably true). If Luffy were in Rogers place what would he tell people to search for? Treasure? Pluton? The Rio Poneglyph? I don't think it is any of these. That is why I previously suggested a map to the ancient civilization. Now it may not be a map per say but whatever it is, it will be capable of opening the gateway to a civilization that nobody could have imagined. Like the way they found the ancient city in Skypea, I believe that the thing that both Luffy and Roger would pride themselves in most would be finding this place that no one has seen in over 800 years.
I think that's enough rambling for me. Time to hear what everybody else thinks.

This doesn't necessarily mean that her father is dead at that time... but like you said, it's impossible to be sure of anything in this manga.

I too think that it's hard to believe that Pluton is Rogers ship.
In episode 240-something (not sure what manga chapter) we get to see the story of Tom, Franky (aka Bakanky ) and Iceburg. Here the goevernment comes to sentence Tom for creating a replica of the pirate king's ship. If that ship was Pluton, then the government would have gotten their hands on it right away, and I doubt that Tom would want that, or even bould another Pluton if one already existed.

About Luffy and Rogers beeing eccentrics: Never thought about that before. what if One Piece is something silly, wich was Rogers greatest treasure (i.e. a rubber duck or a collection of stones - following the archeologist theory^^)... ok, waay to many speculations about this I should be more serious. I think that One Piece can be anything, but I'm sure it's something great... at least Luffy would be happy finding whatever belonged to the pirate king.. like a rubber duck

wont chopper be teaming up with Sogeking(Usopp) just like they did in the BW arc. they would make a great team together but might also share a bounty once they get one.
btw there is no way that Sanji can winning if he is going to fight kalifa but he might have a chance if Kalifa ate a zoan type devil fruit.
anyone think that those aint the actual people that they are going to fight ?(Luffy vs. Lcchi and Zoro vs. Kaku is an exception) they will probably be switching places with another member of the Strawhat... just like when Usopp traded places with Sanji so that he can fight Mr. 4 pair while Sanji fought Mr. 2.

as unlikely as some of the pairing seems, that's the pairings from chapter 400.
so far they've all spread out all over the building to find each of the members, and as unlikely as sanji vs kalifa, they're in the same room and kalifa locked the doors...
currently though, chopper's location is unknown, but everyone else has paired up with someone. I think this time they just don't want to have nami go against another female just to switch things up, and the only person left to deal with females and make a fun result would be sanji.
well, that's the pairing from chapter 400, the real fighting hasn't started, but everyone has been seperated from each other to find the right key to unlock robin's cuffs. oh yeah, that's the reason why they split up, since each member has a key and the strawhats have to beat them to get it, but only one is the real key...
now we're getting to the interesting one piece chapters, full on fighting chapters.
... a) the main character looks like an idiot, and b) the drawings look like crap...
As an artist myself, I take offense in that because every artist has a different style and such. I personally thought that One Piece was unique in the way that every character has completely different looks and personality. I love how the fat people really do look fat and how Usopp (sp?) has a weird nose... I even love Luffy for his stupidity/bravery.

the head of the cp9 onli has str of 9 compare 2 the average marine soldier with a gun of 10, so i guess he is weaker compare 2 the the normal soldier, but as shown the last few ep, his str is not in cmbat but his sly, and cruel way of operating
bahaha... i thought that the drawings sucked at first when i first saw it... well it really cant be blamed... cause the detail of the characters are quite low... but later... after reading through... u find that all the characters are drawn in accordance to their personality... which is kinda kool... but ppl only say that it looks shit cause they dont like the style... u shouldnt get offended by that... its only an opinion

Yeah, I'm up for guessing who has the key to Robin's cuffs. I would think it would be Kaku, but I'm guessing Zyabura. Just have a gut feeling that Ussop will come through in a big way to save Robin and will be allowed back in the Straw Hats that way.
I think the straw hats will take usopp in anyways...
Only way saji would be able to win agains kalifa is if she also has a devil's fruit ability and becomes an animal.
About bountys...
I'd like to see how high bounties each the Strawhat pirates will get... all of them are bound to get one now that they've invaded the greatest judical place of the world government.
I'd also like to see how large bounties Shanks and the Red Hair pirate's inner circle has, as well as Whit Beard's bounty + Main crew, like Ace.
Anyone else want carpenter guy, the guy with the rope attacks (don't remember his name...), to join the crew?
I just don't like franky because he's ugly, and if he joined, the entire Franky family would also join them, which would annoy me even more.
