paintchat

paintchat is like a chat room, except that there is a huge canvas for the guest to draw.Its really fun since you can chat and draw with other people at the same time.
You can do a piece of drawing with friends. It has some basic brushed
and 3 layers...etc. Nothing spectacular but I find it addictive.

Alen Iverson. 10 years deep into his career, he is having his best season.
Its a shame that the sixers didnt make the playoff.

My recent favourite piece. This is a charactor in a comic I very much wantted to do. Its about a guy who wanted to become the best artist and is set on a search for a legendary magical inck stone. He can tigers on paper and make them come alive and He believes the stone will help him to excel in drawing. On his way searching for the stone he realized more and more about being an artist.......well, i dont think I seriously will go ahead to do the comic. If my skill is improved to profetional level then I can try.

I worked on this drawing to almost 100% complete, then all of a sudden my hard drive crashed.....this is truly a nightmare....a monthes effort go up to smoke in a minute. Not only that, most of my drawings I did this year are never to be found again.The worst thing is I never post them anywhere. Had I post them somewhere then once my HD broke down I could go to the forum where I post them to get them back. Its a hard lesson for me. Sign...

OoWHOA!~

You'r realy great with perspectives.......if I have a big probleme with drawing people and scenery.....it would be perspective......its hard to do......well done....

I like how you can blend realism with fantasy~ that can be a big plus in industries such as illustration or animation....a cool style....

Over all....realy good....a bit more work......and it will deffinetly be up to proffessional standereds....

these are really good! i like the pencil sketches. The first one looks great and i especially like the one of the departing lover. The swordsman and the manga character also look great. The soft pastel colouring looks good but i like stronger colours.

To Bowser:
I always try hard to make perspective right with each drawing ever since my junior high days. However I still find it difficult to get things right from time to time so I practice drawing different angles a lot.

To SouchiroRaito:
Thax^^. Pencil remains my no. 1 drawing tool cuz its easy to use, though it is limited to black and white. I hope one day my CG can become better than my pencil works.

to CGY:
And I should thankyou for giving the effort to read through the post(lol).
I will try to reduce the content in my post next time, though.
I am Chinese alright but I dont konw where baka update is. Care to explaine alittle?

To quosimos:
One of my main problems in drawing is that the colours arent deep or bold enough. I am working on getting the colours right. Thanx for pointing that out.

To meganekko:
Thankyou meganekko. I am concentrating on CG drawings and had less time for manga. But I do think about manga stories like everybody else.
I enjoy the art contest very much and its a shame that it had to end due to insufficient entries. Hope it will come back one day.

To onizukapwns:
I didn't know I had a legacy out there...lol.
But thankyou for remembering me. Sad to see the old faces gone but we have alot of new blood too. A-S's fanart forum is 1 of only 3 art forums that I still do visit. I like this place alot.

Wow, your talent is amazing! God, those pics make my drawings look like nothing! I love how you draw your characters; they look sorta like how I try to draw mine. And your shading and perspective are all so expertise and perfect!
Anyway, I have to say that seeing your pics has made me want to draw a bunch and get better than you Very Happy

I'm not looking for competition or anything, but drawings that are better than mine always make me realize my potential, and make me want to do better. Pics like the ones you have drawn, in pencil, show me just how much I could do with a simple pencil. So great job, and I can't wait to see more of your artwork! Wink

okay, that was a lame attempt to get you riled up....

YOU, m'boy, was born to be a manga artist(for my opinion anyway). these are, as far as i've seen, the best pictures displayed here. it makes my works(please dont look at them) look like trash. your great skectching ability and shadowing makes the characters look alive, as if they are actually moving. one of your pics(the room) was a great work of sketching ever. you emphasized the objects around him so well, just by using pencil. that is just simply amazing. not to mention the way you color your drawings. it just looks so soft, not very irritating to the eye. the watercolor effect makes it even look angelic/heavenly. very comfortable to my eye, makes me relax a bit. STUPENDOUS WORKS!

i guess i was a bit of a drama when i described your work. hahahaha.
