This is a pic I just recently did. I have how long it took me, all the materials I used, and the story behind it is all there on deviantART, so ther's no use in putting it here.
This is probably my best pic to date~
Sorrow:

This is a picture I finished in December of 2005. I posted the lineart up here ages ago. Well, this is the colored version. Also a pic that I consider one of my best.
IO:

Which is worse? The madness of following Tao, or the madness of an existence without awareness?

wow, amazing works. the shading in sorrow and IO is superb! i love how each work has it's own feel and style. the lines in temptation is simply breathtaking.

Thanks!! I get so happy when I get comments! Anyway, yes, I have to admit that I kinda surprised myself on all 3 of these pictures with the shading and detail and all. Many tell me they are extremely good for me being only 14, but there are probably other 14 year olds who are just as good if not better. But all these stand as major landmarks in my journey to master the art of drawing, and to become an animator. _________________ [img:400:224:9a48d672c1]http://comalies.free.fr/images/ergoproxy.jpg[/img:9a48d672c1]

I agree that sorrow is the best, though his toe looks like someone took a hammer to it . I also noticed that it looks like you tried to hide the face. That won't do. To get better you need to face what difficulties you have, if you hide them you won't improve.
keep practicing and growing...though I do wish I could say I drew like that when I was 14...good job
All with great style of your own. Really like your drawings.
I see immense talent and potential in you.
Love the detailed art in the secont drawing.
The third one is nice too. are you learning Chinese?
its really nice, the detail and shading as they've mentioned.
its all really superb. 14, you remind me of those people who
take hardcore art lessons. i only knew a few people who
were that talented at that age...
most of them took lessons, im not sure if you do or not.
but thats AWESOMES. especially since human forms are hardest
to draw...

To the_underdog: Hahaha! Yeah, now that you mention it, his toe does look like it might have had a hammer taken to it!! Ah, oh well, I have to make a mistake somewhere~ As for the face, the reason I hid the face was because that's how the pose is supposed to look. Sorrow is really a pose practice peice with some serious effort into it. I used a model from a figure drawing book for the pose, and that's just how the face was in the pose. So I drew it that way.
To basala: Thankyou so much!! I'm glad you like my drawings! No, I'm not learning chinese; the chinese in the IO pic is a translation of a chapter of the Tao Te Ching I found on a card.
To spankit: Thanks!! Well, I have been asked many many times if I have taken lessons in art, and the answer is no. I've never had an art or drawing lesson in my life, and even though I took art at my school, all we ever did was cut out peices of colored paper and glue them to make patterns(boring stuff).
To Atashi:Hey! Nice to meet ya! I'm guessing that since you know of arcipello, you must be on devianart. I absolutely LOVE arcipello's work! It is amazing! And yes, secretly I do hope that by the time I'm his age, I'll be better than him~ But he uses CG programs, while I'm limited to the traditional tools, which is OK. I think I should learn how to use traditional tools first before I rely on CG to mix my colors and such. But I'll get there someday! _________________ [img:400:224:9a48d672c1]http://comalies.free.fr/images/ergoproxy.jpg[/img:9a48d672c1]

Don't worry, you'll improve. Definitely, I think it's best to show your artwork to others for advice, observe their style of drawing, and find a way to mold that style into your own. So that you get more comfortable with it.
Wow gj on all of em, tho I found some things wierd.
Sorrow:
Are those toes supposto be like that? They look kinda smushy(What kind of a word is that?) to me.
Good shading and the anatomy looks fine to me. : )
Temptation:
The nose looks kinda flat, or is he wearing somekind of a noce protection?
Nice detail on the armor and the sword, must have taken a long time. _________________ XDXDXD
Yes they're all wonderful! Pencil shading really is the best ne? And Sorrow slumped on a corner (literally) was cool... it felt sad though, I felt like I want to console him or something...
I think that's what your drawings really want to convey right? You're a talented one. Keep doing great art~ _________________ EX-mod
