I dont remember its name but it was fun
i think Ash died at the end and after Pikatcho (did i spelled their names right) cried with monsters he revived.
*sigh*
i know ya didnt understand..

It's well past 4... I stopped watching in season 4 and that was a long time ago. I think now it's up to 6, maybe even 7.

I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't put it past them. If anyone's ever read the graphic novel, they know how dark and twisted this franchise can actually get...
In the GN (and in the stage-show also I believe), Ash's birth was the result of his mother being raped by Giovanni. Giovanni (the leader of Team Rocket for those who don't know) actually loves Ash and is trying to get back with his mother to be a family, but Ash's mother doesn't want that to happen.

the graphic novel... it's available in the US, should be in any bookstore's manga section. I don't remember where I bought mine since it was such a long time ago, but I know I had the first two installments.
And yes, it was the same series... well kinda. It had Ash, Gary and Misty and obviously Pikachu n' all that. Actually, Ash found Pikachu living in his walls, that's how the series started. The character designs were totally different, but the storyline was pretty much the same.

EHHHH?!?!?!? WTF, that seriously happened? holy crap i think my respect for pokemon has seriously gone up, like way up. and here i thought it was just a show that was going nowhere with a no-name background but dam.

It's wierd I don't think like that when I watch all the kiddie shows again...I'm always like 'Ahh good times~' OR 'OMG! I used to love this show' and continue watching it... maybe I wouldn't choose to watch it, but if coincidentally enough there was nothing else on and Pokemon was on I would watch it ...and make fun of the new types of pokemon...and squee at the old pokemon I used to love XD

Wrong and wrong.
Try 9th. They're in the Diamond & Pearl series now. The current cast is still Ash, Pikachu, and Brock (and amazingly, Team Rocket) (I'm not gonna try to even guess what their names in JAP are). Hikari is the new girl.

I didn't say it stopped at 6 or 7, I said it was at least "up to" them. Looking at the ANN entry, it seems like the last episode rolled out in 2002, so I guess the end has been reached. I knew about the new girl... even that nerdy poindexter kid. Brock disappeared for a season early in the game, but made his way back. I think I stopped watching once Misty left. Pokemon without Misty is like toast without bread... ^__^
