Peace isn't boring. You can't watch anime in war! gunfire won't let you hear anything and having to watch out for people shooting at you won't let you concentrate on the images either. From that perspective war is even more of a hell, while peace=anime.

On a more serious note, I do disagree with the statement. Basically it depends on your definition of boring. In war many of the choices people have become reduced. What can you do, where can you go, etc. It is the freedom that people have in peace that I think is fun. And if in peacve people are bored is because they chose so.

What is so fun about war, anyway?

War is hell, but I don't think Peace is boring. Do you think that Peace is boring, if so why? Life maybe boring at times, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Peace is boring.

I disagree about peace being boring. You don't here as uch news about people form your own country that are dieing. People die becasue of war. War is hell so many people die as a result of it. People don't always need to resort to war. Without war you can leave almost a regular life. Just think if there was a war going on in you home town and your were in the town. Your in your house just minding your business and then you hear gun shots and they hit you window and you see people dieing in the streets. Now that is hell not boring, but hell.

Its supposed to alternate between mind numbing boredom and sheer terror and excitement.

if there are people thinking how boring peace is, they should try living in countries such as iraq, afghanistan, palestine. Everyday there people are killed, bombed, murdered against their will. People they pray for peace. It is just not right for the rest of us to take peace for granted

Well, many countries were siding with USA during the Iraq war and had troops stationed there, my country included.

Even though we were at war during that period, I didn't find life any less boring, actually it didn't have any effect on my usual day whatsoever.

But I imagine it changed the life of quite a few soldiers and their families, and not to anything better I might add.

People who think peace is boring have probably played too many strategy games, where peace indeed is boring.

People who think peace is boring, must have something wrong with them! Be glad that you don't have to worry about your house being bombed and all your loved ones being shot in a second.

alot of people are saying that peace isn't boring and i agree with them but the saying "War is hell but peace is boring" is basically a comment on the duality of man kind....if you look at it from a soldier's point of view he/she is in two extreme situations the first situation being in a warzone (hell) fighting for life and athe second situation waiting for his/her turn to enter the warzone (peace).....which situation is worse?? that's really what the question is asking.

if you've ever seen the movie 'buffalo soldiers' with jaquin pheonix it shows what can happen to soldiers with no war to fight.
