so if morals and opinion have nothing to do to cause war...you're implying that we...greedy us...is causing it on purpose?
oh btw, did you guys see the review for the sept 11 incident?
that one that said an inside force also did play a part in collapsing the WTC building?

that statement all depends on the mind of the soldier. People who love war don't find war hell and peace as unnatural and vice versa. peace is an impossibilty and war is inevitable.

dont forget, the reason why bush started the war on iraq is because of their oil...isnt that what we call greed? by the way, this is just a rumor and speculations...doesnt means it's true but then that doesnt stop me from hating BUSH!!!

lady-
since no human being is the same to another means their are countless reasons and excuses for going to war it's impossible to list them all. Bush in iraq could be for any reason and oil is just the easiest one to accept by the pubilc majority. personally i think that bush went into iraq to make his daddy proud by succeding where he failed.

I dont mean to sound naive which I probably will........but dont the soldiers get called even when there isnt war.........like to KEEP peace.......or to help with natural disasters.
My opinion coming from a country that has been in civil war since like forever. War Is not needed it is stupid and it is a waste of supplies needed to keep a country afloat. My country is crap because of the civil war. Peace on the other hand is not boring because if they finally had peace they would finally start building and growing which I Dont think is boring. My opinion only I dont want to offend anyone. Later ^_^

dont worry...any opinion, no matter how naive is welcomed here...after all, a forum is a place of freedom (well not anymore when you have mods breathing down your neck)
anyway, the fact that soldies is always on call when there is no war also is definitely not a good thing
i mean, sacrifising yourself for the sake of your country seems wrong morally...it's just like asking a guy name America to go kill a girl name Africa...got what i mean?

your problem is that you believe in something that doesn't exist...i'm sorry to say this but there is no such thing as a god...however you are fully entitled to beleive in god i'm just saying that it is that belief in god that causes all these wars...the arabs beleive that their god is the only god and kill others who don't believe like them...so it's the very belief in a god that causes these wars...so that's why i don't like to believe in a god.

okay, it's up to you whether to believe in Him or not but it is not because of Him that war is happening!!!

The answer is NO
God never order to start any war.
God specifically tells us to embrace him and help the others see the truth using the most diplomatic way.
You do realize that the problem in the middle east is cause by radical terrorist.
Those people aka Osama Laden and such is just using the word God to results in brutal ways...I remember clearly that Islamic God told the muslim to respect others culture, guide them to embrace him thorugh with the least bloodshed ways as possible.

Remember...it's not about what God says it's about how we interpret His saying. He says no killing unless for self-defence so what did we do? We interpret it as killing is okay if the person started it. Two men is arguing in the front lawn when suddenly the other says..."Im going to kill you"...there goes the self-defense eventhough it was just a momentary outburst of emotions and hurtful words.
Repeat...It's how we interpret things.
We interpret that God is real so we believe God is real...we interpret that God is powerful so God is powerful...we interpret that sex is bad so sex is bad. It's what you believe that counts...not what He's saying.
It's because we believe that people did what they did eventhough the believe is too far from the truth. |

isn't...
and also the fact that the penthagon have no evidence of a plane crash eventhough the report specifically said that a plane crash on it...and where's the remains of the SAID plane? don't tell me it manage to fly...after crashing

i think we're all starting to lose the point here this is topic is about a remark made "war is hell but peace is boring" and although most of you have made some pretty valid and interesting points, which by the way is the reason i started this topic, to read some feedback...i feel that some of you have gone off on a tangent mentioning a so called "god" and adding religon into the equation...all i want to know is how you feel about this remark "war is hell but peace is boring"...do you agree or disagree...i think it's a very interesting remark because it shows us the duality of man kind...we are a evolved species and have formed giant social formations but still have that animal instinct within us that drives us to conflict...that is what i wanted to discuss...and yes i know religon is probably the main cause of war but it is that strong belief that causes religon to form....anyway i have said what i needed to say so tell me what you think.

well as far as i know peace not boring well actually i enjoy myself in peaceful lifesince in war you can lose your life as also your fortune.
and also the peace time is the best time to find money and stuff hahaha because in war the most probable thing is you as a citizen probably going to be drafted into the military.

this is the kind of response i've been looking for a straight forward opinion addressing the topic at hand...i like what you said about the "to much anime/game ofr you part" however i don't know who your addressing it at...anyway i agree with you peace is is nice and it's something we chould strive to achieve for example we can watch anime and not have to sleep with one eye open....however life can become very monotonous and we need war to remind us that even though life can be boring at tiems it could be much much worse...good responce refic.
