Well... if you are saying that you are taking Japanese lessons and are looking for anime that has clear concise pronunciation to help your listening skills, then there are not much anime except perhaps those meant for young kids ala Doraemon, ( here is one that I only know the Chinese title of, 腊鼻小星, I forgot the Japanese title *sigh* ).

If you are saying you want to learn Japanese through anime, then seriously... unless you are a genius in languages, it is not very possible and you would be left confused or muddled into thinking that you know Japanese but end up being laughed at or punched by a Japanese when you try to converse with them using Japanese you think you picked up from anime...

Bhahahaha!!!

That's exactly how I started studying Japanese!!!!

The one I started studying it with was Love Hina!

But studying it by listening to what they say and reading the English translation isn't very practical, coz often translation doesn't exactly match, and you might end up memorizing stuff with wrong translation.

I advise you look for on-line tutorials of Japanese.

http://www.japanese-online.com/ - check out this one. It helped me get started... (haven't really advanced any further, but still Wink )

Good luck!!

When watching anime to learn japanese i would advise to watch it once without subtitles. When the subtitles are there, for me at least, i subconsiously become reliant on those floating words over flashing images.

Also, Aishiteruze Baby helped me a bit. Yuzu is only a small child so her vocabulary itselfs isnt that big and the fact that she repeats thigns often.

For your own sake don't try it. Just like english, japanese has different word for a single object. So what you hear in one serie can be called different in another one (believe me on this one, I know because I tried and it didn't work). Best thing to do is take japanese lessons

i think the best bet it just to travel to japan and live their for like 2-3 months, when you hear the language everywhere you will start to learn faster.

Waching anime gave birth to my interest in learning nihongo because I cannot always rely on the subtitles...

I only learned not much all that I learned are simple words and expressions that are often used.

so then i bought a book about learning nihongo but to the extent that I should memorize so many words then memorize the sequences of the words used....

and at least somehow I learned Rolling Eyes but not that much though

I think if you really want to learn Japanese, you really need to live in Japan and live there for about 3-5 months. This way you can learn Japanese easily because of your surroundings that will force you to learn in order to communicate in your everyday life.
There's also another way: study or be taught by your friend who also knows Japanese (if you have one).
I can't guarantee you watching anime all day or endlessly will help you learn a lot. I've been watching anime since I'm a child, but still I have only learned a few simple expressions that are often used.

Smile Surprised Very Happy (No Offence for those who would be affected by my opinion, esp. the last part.) Smile Surprised Very Happy
